I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
everyone please look at....
I posted about this below in another post but I wanted to see if you all could look at something. My DH and I have created a free online system that will track everything your LO does. From potty, sleeping patterns, medicine intake, medicine reactions, a community of parents and children who are on the same meds, feeding patterns and intake. The website is called www.medibaby.com. It is not fully done yet but we wanted to release it to you all first. There are some "bugs" that we are working out and all of the charts are not done yet. DH is working on that. Medibaby is a free tracking site that will help you in kn owing if your LO is benefiting from the meds they are on. Please take a look at it. If you find bugs please let me know. I have been using it for a month now.... msjacky@gmail.com The website is www.medibaby.com

Zack born 09/28/07 @ 31 weeks. Dx silent reflux @ 6 mo. Now not so silent. Switched to Elecare @ 9 mo. On Prevacid 15mg 1x daily. Looking to stop the puke and gain some lbs.
Puke stopped about 24 months and he's learning to eat...very slowly.
Still on prevacid and periactin.
I signed up...this is pretty cool.. Currently I use an excel spreadsheet. Being able to download some kind of report would be really helpful so I could take it to various docs and therapists. Also, having a entry for volume of vomit would be great for me. I'm pretty good at eyeballing what one or two oz is and it's really helpful for me to have that info on my breakdown. It's sick and unfortunate, but If Z takes in 8, but pukes, two..then it's important at the end of the day. Anyway, that's my 2 cents...you and you DH are smart! This was a great idea! Lastly, on the feeding chart, you have OZ offered and OZ given...I'm not sure I understand OZ given...is that what he has taken in? Oh, OK, I lied...one more thing...how about a place to indicate any reactions...skin flare up, reflux flare, whatever...in reaction to food or environment during the day...Am i getting carried away?

Hey. I am glad that you signed up... also glad that you see the use for it. OZ given means how many oz they took. Say if you offered 5 oz and they took only 4 oz. Same idea for solids. If you offer 2 oz and hey take in half... they will have been given 1 oz. For the reactions part.... For now you can put it under "comments". We plan on developing the site to over time to suit PAGER parents. So if you give us your needs... over time we will put it on MediBaby.com We are also working on a daily mood chart. We have alot of stuff in the works, which will be different versions. This is MediBaby version 1. Send me your ideas and needs and we will add them. We will also be adding more "ads" inorder to keep MediBaby free. Trixie Tracker charges a monthly fee after 2 weeks...but medibaby is for babies/children who are on chronic meds and we do not charge a fee.**Jacky**

Lorenzo b.4/25/07 1 week in NICU w/ aspirate pneumonia from a reflux episode; diagnosed GERD at 9weeks; Used Zantac for 5months. Currently using Chinese Medicine and Craniosacral Therapy. GERD, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Sensory Processing Disorder. Ask me about breastfeeding a refluxer! Pic: day 5 in the NICU.
What a great service you are offering! I know I have found myself wishing at times that I could keep better track of things, but I just haven't always had the energy to create a tracking system myself. I love it when positive services for others come from one's own struggles. Way to go!

Meridith, mom to Ethan born 4/23/08. Ethan was diagnosed with reflux at about 1 month. He has been on Zantac (unsuccessful) and Prevacid. He is currently taking 7.5 mg of Prevacid 2x per day, with good results. We also suspect MPI, though this hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet.
Ethan is mostly breastfed, though we are doing one bottle of soy formula each day. We also do some homeade "solids' including, so far pears, avocado, sweet potato, and peaches.

I just signed up, waiting on my email so I get get started. I was trying to track all of this just for this week, but lost it all when my computer lost its mind. lol

I'd love to be able to have it web based, so I could update from anywhere, and track progress. Sounds like a great idea!

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Great idea! I'm not gonna sign up right now...for the time being, I don't have anything to chart. I think it's great that you're doing it though.

Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
What a great idea! I'm amazed, you just thought it up...and then DID it? Wow! I'm sure this will be a Godsend to many parents. Congrats to you and your hubby for a super idea!

I second the idea about vomit. I'd like to track how often it happens. I need to figure out how much, but even just options "a lot", or a "little" would work.

Hey spitter moms!

For now you can put the spit up amount with the feeding comments. But it is a great idea and we will be adding it in the future!

DH is in his last semester for his graduate program. He is all done in December. This semester is crunch time! He is the one that does all the coding to MediBaby... Hi Master's Degree is in Computer Information Systems. So it ideas may not be added right away... but I promise they will be added!!!!

if you come across something that is not right, does not work well, or you feel would be helpful... let me know! You can email me through medibaby or directly. Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks so much. I have been keeping up with this stuff on Excell sheet as well, but this is pretty cool. I have signed up. On the medication list, it doesn't give a place to say drops. Meggy uses 4-6 drops. I guess I just thought of this cause in the hospital they overdosed her on levsin. Gave her a couple mls instead of drops.
