Kathryn, Pager Volunteer and mommy to Emily Mia 02/04/07. 3 years old with GERD. 30mg Prevacid and Pepcid AC. Mylanta needed for flares. Failed prilosec med switch. Tried and failed many med weans but GERD and pain are well controlled. Functional constipation. Reoccurring SBBO. Suspected IBD or autoimmune disease. Resolved issues: MSPI, CSID (acquired), Stage 2 kidney reflux, Chronic diarrhea.
Audrey Meadow 06/20/08. born 34/35 weeks. Still b/f and eats everything! ftt and chronic constipation.
ugh! it sooo figures!
i am so mad at myself right now, i can't even do my homework (so of course i come here lol) During Emily's nap (noon-1:30) i sat at the computer in my room to do h/w. I ate a sub I got for Dh but he only wanted half and gave the rest to me. He likes EVERYTHING on his sub, i don't. So i picked off olives (to give to emily) and then in another pile i put onions, green peppers, pickles, and tomatoes. I don't know what i was thinking but i left the plate on the desk.

i decided to take the girls for a walk to get the mail b/c emily loves the circulars and car ad flyers. As i am getting audrey into the bjorn i notice the door to my room is wide open, I go in and Emily had CLEANED the plate of everything but the tomatoes. She can only eat olives, the rest is bad for her! She was smiling and laughed at me as i stood in shock staring at her and the empty (well with tomatoes) plate; she shoved one final peice of onion in her mouth before i could take it away from her.

well guess who's not laughing now... emily. poor thing has just spent the last hour screaming and holding her belly throwing herself on the ground and hitting her head on various things. She wore herself out. i put her in her crib to calm her down and she fell asleep.... thanks for all the great vibes but i guess today was not her day again.....

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Oh, Kat! All I can say is that has happened to us soooo many times! I know it's different and worse with Emi's problems. I just didn't want you to blame yourself. It happens to all of us. Maggie has had many drinks of mtn dew, dr pepper, etc bc we leave stuff sitting. Hugs...I pray it doesn't last too long.

sharlin, mom to aviah, smith and faye (4/08)-dx with acid reflux (mostly silent) at 6 months.
Looking back I suspect she's been dealing with this for most of her little life. She's tried about every formula in the book and is currently on liquid alimentum, which has really helped a lot with her fighting feedings. We also tried zantac, but she became MUCH worse, and so we've been trying to work on helping her through her diet. she's also taking probiotics, and i'm hoping to get her eating some solids more regularly.
i'm so sorry. :( that sounds so horrible.

I am so sorry. I hate this for you and for her but you can't blame yourself. No matter how careful we are, we are human and things happen. Your situation with Aubrey has me curious with Aubrey. I plan on talking to her GI and seeing what else is going on. I just feel there is something (I had a pp about that). I hope she feels better soon and you aren't beating yourself up to badly. HUGS
