I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.

What do you store your food in? After you puree it..... what do you put it in? I think her pedi said ice cube trays.... is that right? If so how many cubes do you use per feeding???

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
I never froze Maggie's food. My freezer burns too easily. I always made just enough for about 2-3 days and kept it in my usual containers.

Connor 11/22/02
Grace 7/2/04 reflux free now!
Molly 7/10/07 the reason I'm here!
I used ice cube trays. Each cube is about 1 oz. I started with one cube at first to make sure Molly could tolerate the food. If she still seemed hungry I would add a little bit of cereal to it, too. After she ate something for a week with no reaction I would give her 2 cubes, or I would do one cube of an old food and one cube of a new food.

ethan's mom
Meridith, mom to Ethan born 4/23/08. Ethan was diagnosed with reflux at about 1 month. He has been on Zantac (unsuccessful) and Prevacid. He is currently taking 7.5 mg of Prevacid 2x per day, with good results. We also suspect MPI, though this hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet.
Ethan is mostly breastfed, though we are doing one bottle of soy formula each day. We also do some homeade "solids' including, so far pears, avocado, sweet potato, and peaches.

I use the ice cube tray method. Each cube is about 1 tbs of food. Ethan eats 3-4 once per day. I started out with one food per meal, but now that he has a few foods that we know he tolerates, I mix them together in tasty combinations.

Once the cubes are frozen, I just transfer them to freezer bags, and they're supposed to stay good for up to two months.

I use ice cube trays as well and have measured them to be right at 1oz. I freeze them overnight and then pop them out and put them in freezer bags. I make about 1 weeks worth at a time.

Ice cube trays is a great idea. I wish I had thought of that. After u have frozen, do u thaw in microwave or stove top?

I microwave, about 10 seconds per cube on mine. Gets them just thawed, not warmed too much

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
i did it the same way. puree, freeze in ice cube trays overnight then store in freezer bags. i thawed in microwave for about 10 seconds as well. usually have to add cereal to it because of the water..
Check with your
doctor first!
