Snotty receptionist:P OT
I just got off the phone with our clinic and the receptist was a witch. I asked to get flu shots on Friday when I bring Nolan in. She went on and on about how they have flu shot clinics on Thurs and Sat. and Mon. I told her I do daycare and I took the day off Friday and that I can't make it the other days. I would totally do it Sat. but of course that is the day we are going to be out of town. I wasn't even going to bother with flu shots its just that we have so many lil kids here. I have a premie and 2 other babies here. I thought I better so they don't get sick. Anyway she had to call and put me on hold twice to get the nurses okay on it. She said we will only make this execption once next time you have to come to the clinics. I was like okay then. I mean what do we pay these people for? I'm sorry with having so many kids here I just feel better doing. Esp since 2 will be under 6 months during cold and flu season. Okay I'm done ranting...it is just so frustrating.

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
The thing is that you know your doctor would be totally O.K . with it. I have come across some power obsessed receptionists that have sent me over the moon! I mean really.....

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
It's been a while...so it is high time, I think, for Louise to make her a present!!

My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.
U would think u were asking them to do it for free. I mean really what do they have to do jab the needle in and send you on your Merry way and get paid big bucks to do so.

I wouldn't feel bad for it. U r paying these people and they should accomadate you.

The clinic is just convenience for them, not a have too. I think u r doing the right thing. A lot of people wouldn't even bother.

Hmm, it most have been something with receptionists today! We had an appointment for Donnie to get a flu shot yesterday. DH made it without telling me and we missed it so I rescheduled it for today. We found out they were doing the flu fair on Saturday and decided we would avoid the whole sick kids in the office thing since he only needed the flu shot and do it then. I called at 2:00 to reschedule again for Saturday and the receptionist was very snotty. Oh well, I would rather go just for the shot then have to sit in the waiting room with sick children and have to pay an actual doctor's visit. -Liz
