Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Mil-ot (maggiemom)
My mil is back in the hospital. She hasn't been recovering as well as she should. She's doing "ok" but not well. Yesterday Morgan and I went to see her. She said she "thinks she's going backward instead of forward". She complained a couple times.

Fil's mom died last week and he's still going through all that work junk. He pretty much ignored her when she was hinting around about needing to go for a walk. I went with her once but had to go.

Please pray that she will get better. I know fil has a lot going on, but he needs to get off his @$$ and help her get better. He was all for it when she was in the hospital but now he's his old self again.

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!
Will do! Hugs to you guys!

Hey! I'm gonna update for everyone here instead of email.

The fluid turned out to actually be blood. It was (if I'm right-I'm no med) around the outside of and between the layers of her lungs. I hope that's right...any way, they're gonna have to give her blood. Her hemoglobin is way down. They got it off the right lung, later they're gonna do the left.

She said the dr has no bedside manner. He asked her "if the meds don't work will she be willing to go on the vent. to help clear it out". I'm just so not educated about medical stuff.

I am almost certain that my fil is driving her crazy. She sent very clear hints yesterday and today. My sil isn't really helping in the "sanity" dept either. She's enough to send anybody to the looney bin. She's a little too helpful if you know what I mean.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers! I just like getting it out to as many friends as possible.

Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.
Prayers for your mil.....

She si still in my thoughts. I hope the vent isn't needed. Could sil take fil somewhere for awhile to get both of them out of everyone's hair? Send her on a wild goose chase with him helping her. I hope she gets well soon.

Fil and sil do what they want to do. there would be no getting rid of them! If there was, I'd do it for sure, lol. I'd probably already have them shipped to China. My mil has several sisters, but none of them want to be around him for very long!
Check with your
doctor first!
