Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Sebastian's one-year well check
I thought I would do this because everyone else always does! It was pretty uneventful. Sebastian loved the nurses. He even grabbed one's face, and he only does this to me...not even daddy! He was in a great mood, racing around the exam room in nothing but his diaper, socks, and sneakers. However, he screamed from the minute he saw the ped untilt he ped left. Poor doc. Then he smiled again, even as the nurse held him down for shots. Well, until she called for back-up, that is. The smiling stopped and the screaming started (He is strong, but not stupid). He was too strong, she said, to hold down with one hand, so she called in a second nurse. That's my freakishly strong boy!!! (He has that Fisher Price animal circus train, and he carries the engine around the house (it is seriously like 4 lbs) with one hand!!!)

Anyway, Sebastian is 32 inches and 27 pounds. He is HUGE. So yay for Neocate! Little man is thriving without food even though he is a year now.

He has eight teeth and is getting some molars.

Tonight he is wearing these new dinosaur thermal PJs and I LOVE them. He looks so freaking cute on the video monitor.

Yay for Sebastian! (And yay! for you moms for reading)

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Can I say you have a MOOSE in your house? That's awesome, Melissa...GO SEBASTIAN! He's just proving that what don't kill ya makes you stronger. I didn't post the one year check, but there wasn't anything to post!

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!

You never posted how your truck unloader back brace works for hauling your tank around.
