I'm online~ but not for long~weekly updates please
I don't know what is up with my internet but I was able to get on for a short peroid. The tech support thinks it is a problem w/ something else cause the new modem they sent out has the same problems. So they want me to pay $!20 for a router. I'm desperate at this point...

I miss you all.

I've read posts but the connection is too slow for me to comment. Could you please take some time to update here? We can do our weekly updates here. Thanks! Hugs to the sick los and hugs to the ones who aren't sleeping. Let your parents sleep they need it.

Sorry, you are having such troubles with your computer. Well, A had a fairly good night last night. I contacted National Jewish Children's Hospital because they have a team for her asthma & allergies and they work with Denver's children's hospital for the neuro and GI. So, I feel like we are getting something started at least. The allergist told me that her runny nose, wheezing and ezcema flare up weren't from an overload of soy but from environmental. WHen I told her that her boss, the doc, told me that they don't have environmental allergies at her age, even though I don't believe that, she started stumbling all over the place. They wanted me to keep her on it. I told her that i really think I want a second opinion. I talked to NJ for Kids and they think that she is a great candidate for their hospital. I'm not sure when they will be able to get her in but it will be at least a month. I think they have suggested that she be on formula only until then. Which I am okay with. I'm not sure she will. I hope all is well with you and yours. -Amanda

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
Our update really isn't much. Allie's on and off with her sleeping, still having strange poops, but is doing well overall. We'll be re-introducing milk next week now that she's done being ill. Busting a few more teeth this week....finally.

I keep trying to catch up on posts, but I never get to sit at the computer for more than 15 min at a time and in that time frame I still have to get all my business crapola done and bills, so I get about 5 min a day on here. I keep trying to reply to all posts I think I can help with, but alas, her majesty is always so needful. Thinking of and praying for everyone!

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
I miss youuuuu! Things are going much better on our end. Sebastian appears to be feeling a LOT better. We have his 12-month appt tomorrow and his follow-up with the ENT for his double ear infection Friday. He has been napping like total crap, so I finally said enough is enough. Today is day 1 of his new 1-nap-a-day schedule. We shall see how it goes.

Hope all is well with you!

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Amanda, glad to hear that you're headed in the right direction for Adriane - it has to be a relief.

Not a whole lot going on here. Halley is teething her bottom molars and if she doesn't hurry up and get them in, I'm selling her to the circus - I'm sure they need a roaring lion.

We've been working on sleep training the past week and she did fabulously well until last night when she was up for 2 1/2 hours. Her teeth were really hurting her. Tylenol and Oragel didn't cut it, so I gave in and put her in bed with me. Hopefully this doesn't mean we're starting all over with the training. I just can't bear to leave her in her bed crying when I know she's truly miserable.

Hope everyone else is doing well and got more sleep than I did.

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
amanda: i hope it all works out with nj... what a shame! melissa: good luck today! keep us posted Donnessa: teething can be horrific! much luck with that. **joslyn has had 2 amazing feedings today! 17 mins and 23 mins!!! We are going to mix her cereal with homemade apple sauce tonight. wish us luck! She is REALLY saying "mama"!!! She says it while crying! it is soooooooooooooooooooooo sweet!!!!! Incase you missed the post below (i think it is below) joslyn has gained 10 ounces in one week. looks like the new feeding plan is working, she gets an extra 5 ounces a day split up into 3 feedings. Hopefully she will continue to gain so she can get higher than 5%!

My name is being used fraudently to ill represent me. Please be cautious of any information you receive with my name. including,,, anything from anyone claiming to be Engi Nowaira online. Otherwise, I will be representing myself in person so that everyone will have opportunity to identify me in person.
My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.
Thanks for checking in with us.

Meggy is having consitent diarrhea again. Can't pin down the culprit. She is also having episodes of vomiting and fever that come and go. We have eliminated all soy, dairy, corn from her diet.

We have an x-ray report but looking at the x-ray it doesn't match or make sense. "Mildly prominent air-filled loops of bowel in the upper left quadrant. Air does appear to extend distally to the rectum. No definite abnormality seen."

We sent a copy of the CD to John Hopkins to let them look over the x-ray to and form their own opinion. Just got that done today due to lack of gas where I live.

Meggy has not been her usual cheerful self lately. Not sure what is bothering her. Usually even during teething we can get her to laugh and play. She is very quiet.

Glad Joslyn is gaining. This is great news. I hope your success continues.
