This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
I'm going with stomach virus
So after all the bathing in vomit yesterday and last night, things seem to be improving. No more showers-by-formula, but extremely pale diarrhea is still going on. No other sx or distress. Like Sadie, I couldn't find the formula we've been using yesterday, so I had to substitute. Don't think it made much difference.

I give up on figuring anything out with this kid - up one day, down the next, random and instantaneous illness that just as rapidly disappears, etc....I'm just rambling since you all are really the only ones who seem to understand that GERD and gerdlings take over your every waking moment. No need to reply, just needed to throw out some random thoughts I got ahold of...

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!
I hope it is just a virus and that it has run its course!! Hope she feels better soon!

I wonder what's up with not being able to find that formula? Hopefully there were no recalls! Hope she feels better soon. Our house used to stink of vomit 24/7.

Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
Slimfast- What state are you in if you don't mind sharing? Here in GA it seems like all the groceries are practically gone AND the gasoline. I went to THREE stores to find Similac Sensitive RTF and there was none, zero, zip, nada. I hope she feels better soon-I tell you we should all be MD's after our kids grow up with all we're learning. ;)

We're in VA - northern, just below the MD line. I dunno what's going on, but I hate to do a bulk order since we're going to be trying milk again after she starts acting more normally. She's on Good Start, for heaven's sake - should be pretty easy to find.

When we tried SS RTF, I could usually find at least 1 or 2 at Rite Aid, if that helps you out at all. I actually asked a Pharm I know to hold at least one can/bottle of whetever we were trying for me at the back - he knew I'd come get it! If not, you can always order it from diapers.com or maybe drugstore.com
