Michelle, how did Rory's second day go?
I'm on pins and needles to find out what they fed her today... Hopefully yesterday was just a fluke.

lol, I just got finished reading all the other posts, and was going to post an update. I usually like to read them first, and then reply after bedtime...hehehe.

Day 2 was....interesting. They said she cried a bit more today than yesterday but is still doing better than most kiddos. Then I figured out why she was probably crying....ugh.

I had planned on having her there for 9am to check out snacktime, but there was traffic and the bus was sloooooww. So, we got there at 9:10. I stayed a minute or two and snuck out, because they wanted me to pick her back up at 11. I *ASSUMED* because snacktime is from 7:30 to 9:30 that she would get a snack. NOPE! I asked them if she had anything to eat or drink and they said no, she missed snacktime. WTF?? K, I feed her when she first wakes up, today at 7, then we get ready and are out the door by 8. Then it takes an hour to get there by bus, I pick her up at 11 and we don't get home until 12. She went 5 hours!! I mean, I dropped her off with a cup of chocolate milk, which was in their fridge when I came back. I had nothing with me to feed her for lunch, except this morning choco milk and some cookies, so she HAD to wait until we got home. Good news is that she actually drank chocolate milk from a cup!!!! Just a few sips, but still. Diaper mystery solved too.....I leave her *school bag* there in her cubby (which has diapers and wipes for MY emergencies) and instead of using the GIANT-sized package I dropped on friday, they used the TWO in her bag. So that's good :) She goes for the whole day tomorrow, so we'll see how she eats. She'll be there early enough for snack, but I'll be making sure she gets one before I leave. And for the second day in a row, when I go to pick her up, she BAWLS when she sees me....not happy, bawling. Is this normal? lol. Thanks for thinking of us!!! HUGS

Okay the no feeding her was terrible. I serve bf til 9 and some kids will show up at 9:15 and I still have to feed them. I couldn't possibly say oh you didn't eat to bad wait til lunch. I hope they get it together and tomorrow goes better. I've been dying to hear how it was. Well at least they changed her right?

Well, strike 2. I can't believe they let an 18 month old go without food...grrr. Halley doesn't cry when she sees me at daycare, but she does when we pick her up at the nursery at church (because it's not as familiar to her as the daycare). Based on that, I'd say the bawling is normal - it will probably decrease as she gets used to the routine. Hope the rest of the week goes better...

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
Well, the no eating thing needs to be resolved but I am SURE you will take care of that one, lol. Nate cries when he sees me too. Thursday when I picked him up, he started to but I acted REALLY excited to see him so he backed off a bit. Today, I snuck in without him knowing and he was playing happy as can be...he looked up and saw me and got teary eyed and I was lol inside. It's like he does it on purpose just to TUG at my heart. I am glad the diaper mystery was resolved. Looking forward to hearing about the next day :)

Slightly OT-but not really. The daycare we checked out today (I put us on waiting list) has webcams in every room and outside. Parents each have their own code and can log on anytime of day and watch their lo at daycare. I love this idea. To bad they all don't have this!

Thats so cruddy! It is not Rory's fault the bus was slow, she should get her snack. Man it makes me mad. Good to know they did actually chance her diaper though. Hope tomorrow goes better. Wow on the cameras, that is really neat. I would like a place like that Renee!
