Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it!
It's 6:30am here. I have not slept. Rory did better yesterday, but started to deteriorate in the afternoon. The crying. The pain. She has 2 new blisters on the outside of her mouth and a big oozing sore on the gum between her two front teeth. She was inconsolable last night. I'm worried she won't be ready for daycare on Monday. Even if these sores heal in time, I don't think she will be emotionally ready or able to eat without constant attempts and supervision. I feel like I should postpone going back to work so I can get her back to healthy weight.

So, after a week straight of almost no sleep, today I go in to re-test for the temp agency, Microsoft office & typing. My friend is driving us down and she'll watch Rory while I do it. I hope I can pass it, completely exhausted. And I seriously look like crap. I'm pasty, pale and have huge black sunken eyes, lol. PLEASE HIRE ME!! I don't always look like a zombie!! Once I test, they could call at any point with a job, which means if I start work on Monday, no transition for Rory. I can't do this. I'm under an enormous amount of pressure because we have already starting paying the daycare, since her start date was Wednesday, and at this point I don't even want to go back to work. Anyway, wish me luck that I pass, that Rory wakes up and wants a steak, and that everything will work out. Maybe it's sleep deprivation, but I just want to crawl under a rock and hibernate....until 2009. I'll try to catch up with everyone soon.....zzzzzzzzzz

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jedd
This is my nuber one fear of going back to work. It is what has kept me home so far. We (DH and I) don't want to lose th eprogress we have made form someone else feeidng Jedd improperly.

Can you work at night??? That is what I am getting ready to do to bring in some income. that way DH can do 1 feed and 1 snack (liquid) and the give Jedd his bath ad put him to bed. All things he should be able to do. We have had him practicing while I am here so when I start it will go smoothly.

DH tends to get frustrated while feeding Jedd so more practice is better for them both.

Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Can you talk to the daycare and see if you can put off starting her for another week or two? If they are reasonable, they won't charge you - especially since you are keeping your infectious child out of their daycare. Good luck today.

Hey guys, I passed my test :) My typing speed was 62 wpm with 96% accuracy, which shocked me because last time I tested it was in the 40's. That's all that good PAGER typing I do. I was done all the testing in 20 minutes. I rushed because my friend was waiting with Rory outside and she is still not feeling very well. The girl at the agency said, "Congratulations, you just broke the record for fastest test-taking and passed". I had stopped at the daycare to drop off my cheque and some of Rory's supplies. I got to speak with her teacher. I told her she is going to need to be on the bottle for the next little while until she gains some weight back, and then they can start cup training if they want. She goes, "we don't give bottles here". I go, "well, I was told we would be accommodated". She goes, "only if it's a medical reason" and I go, "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME DUMMY"...lol, just kidding, I didn't say that, but are they serious? I just got done telling her she sees the feeding clinic. SIGH. So I told her if she needs documentation, I will provide it, and she said "no". I'm getting the feeling this is not going to go well. I'm starting to second-guess my decision to go back to work :(

Congrats on the test! As far as the daycare goes, try it - hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. If it doesn't work out, you'll be working a temp job, so your resume won't take a hit if you decide to be a SAHM again for a little while. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Oh, and I'd go ahead and get that doctor's note...

Congrats on passing the test. I hope u can get some great temp. jobs. I truly think temp is a good way to go till Rory is doing much better.
Sorry about the day care. I suggest once she starts u drop in unexpectantly a couple times to make sure they are compliant and taking good care of her. I say this from experience of seeing first hand what goes on during parents absence at day care.
Hugs, wishing everything to work out for u and Rory to feel better soon.
