I think he vomited!
I think Aidan vomited last night which supposedly with a perfect fundo they should be able to vomit. I am not sure what to think. He just smelled so bad when I went in there and I thought he had pooped through everything but he was just wet. We had been trying to reintroduce milk and I think that maybe is what the problem is but I don't know anymore. His night wakings are killing me but I have no idea what to do about it. For now I am backing off everything but Elecare for a few days to see if that helps. Please pray this isn't a stomach bug although he seems to be mighty chipper this morning unlike his Mommy.

Wait, with a Fundo I thought they WEREN'T supposed to be able to vomit? I am confused. Isn't a stomach bug better since he'll get over that soon? I mean as opposed to something Fundo/AR relaged.

Sorry my ignorance is showing.

KMOM-you are not ignorant you are always really helpful to everyone on here. He does have a fundo and most people are unable to vomite post fundo but according to the surgeon a perfect fundo should allow you to still vomit with enough force. But like I said it does make you wonder if that happened or not. I was hoping not a stomach virus in case he really does have an inability to vomit from the fundo. I am confused and it is my kid so don't feel bad. And to Jessicalynn he doesn't have a g-tube.

Pictured: G'mom w/3 kids. I'm mom to 1 angel Melissa (dec'd 11/92 - hypoplastic left-heart syn.)
2 healthy daughters (knock wood) Cory (16), Kim (11) & Eric (4) diagnosed with e.e. (scoped 8/08), GERD & severe food/seasonal allergies, asthma. Cried non-stop first 17 mths. of life Found out he is allergic to cow's milk, soy, eggs, and peanuts. Takes Prevacid, Neocate One Plus & Flovent.
Was the vomit almost a clear liquid? Has he actually been tested for milk allergy? Before I knew much about allergies/Eric's allergies, I tried to switch him over to Peptamen Jr. & the next morning he had puked & was all wet. After carefully reading the label, I found it said "this product may not be suitable for some individuals with a milk allergy" (or something to that effect). I subsequently read a book about allergies and it described the vomit exactly like that (clear). Anyway, sorry to go on and on, just wondering if the milk was the culprit, since you are trying to reintro. Hope he's doing better. Ellen
