Jennifer - 1st time mom. Lauren (6/1/07) diagnosed 9/07 with GER at 3 1/2 months. Prevacid 7.5 mg in the am. Currently drinking whole milk and eating great!!
No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
Back from Lauren's Echo cardiogram
We JUST got home from the "45 minute test" that started at 1:10. Lauren did great for about the first 20-25 minutes when she was flat on her back, eating snacks, reading books, playing peek a boo with dh. Then the radiologist wanted to turn her on her side and she was having none of that. So started the screaming and crying. We held her down for part of the test and then it just became impossible. The last 15 minutes I held her and the radiologist wedged her hand and the wand in between Lauren and I -- Good thing she was a woman! We still may have to go back for more images if the pedi cardiologist can't see everything he needs to.

The good news is that she says she didn't see anything "alarming" She said if she saw something that needed immediate attention she would have called the cardiologist before she let us leave. We should have official results by friday or monday.

I sweat off about 5 lbs in this process and Lauren is EXHAUSTED. So tired she feel asleep in the car! She hasn't done that in MONTHS. I carried her in and she's sleeping in her crib now.

Oh That is wonderful news. I think the techs know more then they let on but aren't the "speacialist" so I am sure it is nothing to really worry about. Thanks for the update. I've been thinking of you today.

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Hooray! Good news thus far, right? I'm praying that the good news continues witht he results Friday or Monday. Thinking of you! (Can Lauren come mow my lawn?)

That's good news! It's always nice when they give you a clue before you leave. It takes some of the worry off.

i'm glad you got a tentative okay :) the techs in fl (at least the ones we had for emily) are tight lipped and closed mouthed, so frustrating waiting for the pedi to call! Lauren is soo cute with her little lawn mower i bet she is quite the big girl chore helper lol

ha ha ha, Lauren and that lawn mower...she only pushes it to chase the dog because he HATES it. She thinks it's absolutely hilarious.

Melissa, would Louise like to be chased around with a ball popper lawn mower? If so, I could totally arrange it!

Kat, you're right she's all about helping lately. She loads clothes in the dryer, feeds the dog and just today helped me push the empty garbage cans up the driveway!
