Melissa (Maggie's Mom)
I wanted to let you know I'll be thinking of Maggie tomorrow - hopefully all will go very smoothly. One thing that surprised me the day of Halley's surgery was that her reflux flared horribly - like the "bad old days". If you don't have some Mylanta handy, you may want to pick some up, just in case. The ENT thought it was related to the anesthesia. I'm inclined to agree with him, since it was pretty much gone the next day. Good luck - sending prayers your way!

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Thanks Donnessa! Funny you mention reflux...Maggie has been doing this funny gulping thing the last couple days. I hate to think it :(

I have pretty much decided to send Morgan to school late tomorrow so dh can go with me. I'm a nervous wreck with stuff like this. He's the calm, cool, collected one. She will need his vibes.

We'll be leaving here at a very early 615am.

Hopefully I'll be updating as soon as we get home. We'll see. I'm trying really hard not to get worried about this.

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
you are in our thoughts!!!! Good luck

I think having dh go with you is an excellent idea. Halley was VERY unhappy after the surgery. Part of it was probably due to the anesthesia. Having him with you will help keep you calm and give you a driver for the way home :-)

thanks! I just wish Morgan didn't have to get up and go...but she'll be ok. She's a good big sister. Thanks to Danie's advice, I'm packing her breakfast to take with us. She can eat it while we wait.
Check with your
doctor first!
