Ike in Indiana -- OT
Not necessarily the hurricane winds, but the rain. We had a storm move through ALL DAY friday and Saturday and many streets were flooded from that, now we have the rain from what's left of hurricane Ike dumping on us too. Yesterday many streets were closed and lots of people were having flooding problems...today we are having them too :( This house is sold so this is NOT a good thing for us. We are trapped in our subdivision because both entrances are under water and the lake in our backyard is creeping towards the house...Anyone know how to do the opposite of a rain dance?

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
We are officially trapped in our neighborhood!! DH went to his mom's today in my car and he went thru 2 RIVERS on the road. He said my car (which is a pretty hefty high up SUV) almost stalled twice. I am still in jammies anyway...Nate was up all night again :( It is STILL raining here...there is nowhere for all this water to go. DH is bringing home water just in case there is a boil advisory. I made some hot cider and am resorting to baking today, lol. How are the roads by you Jennifer B?? US 30 was jammed packed yesterday since it was pretty much the only way to get ANYWHERE!!

One neighbor of mine just wadded home, he works midnights. He said the water either way we try to go to get out is waist deep. I heard they were going to shut down Rt. 30 too. I'd be VERY surprised if we had school tomorrow...who knows if I'll be able to get out of here even if we do!

I tried the lay on the floor and scream early this morning when I discovered the wet carpet. It hasn't worked so far :P We just keep soaking it up with towels and throwing them in the dryer, over and over and over.

Danie is your lower level okay? I have never seen anything like this before!

I was thinking Danie might get some use out of her deck that they redid. Danie-I tried to call, but of course couldn't leave a message (lol). Call me.
Check with your
