Dr. Update from Mommyto2
I had my 2 wk follow up yesterday. Yet again we had another suprise-NO we aren't pg! When I thought I had miscarried the baby in the office-NOPE-according to pathology it was a major blood clot! My jaw hit the floor. SSOOOO, when the doc did the D&C I still had baby in me (it was not alive tho). I was 11 wks pg at that time. He said he had to remove more tissue than he ever has during a d&c. He was amazed. He said if we had not done the sx this could have gone on for several months-a year.

I talked about the pains I am still having (particularly my right ovary) and others I won't mention. He said something has to be done. I asked is he talking hysterectomy. He does not want to be held liable for saying anything at this point. BUT I am to come back in 2 months and we will discuss my sx (wether it be a scope to remove the endo or a full hystec). He did say my right ovary is covered w/ the endo right now. Since my body has gone through so much trama I have a ton of blood flow to my uterus and repo organs. To do any sx right now would mean I am at a higher risk of hemoroging (sp).

I am a tough cookie but this pain is wearing me down. I am ready to be gone with it! Thanks again for all of your thoughts a prayers through this ride. It has been one h**l of a summer and I don't ever want to go through this again. Oh ya, he put me back on the pill to control the pain. In the meantime I am to also use back up protection! What is he thinking! I am going to be a nun at this point!

Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Well, I am glad everything is Ok right now. So sorry, though, about the endo and all the pain. No one should have to go through that. I'm thinking of you (and thanks for the forwards...I am bad right now at responding, but I appreciate them. Keep 'em coming!!)

So sorry Jen. I hope all the pain will go away with the pills. I know the horrible pain my friend went through with endo. and then the ups and downs with the hormones and such. I really feel for you. Whatever they decide, I hope you get some relief.

Jen,
Don't know if anyone has mentioned Lupron to you. It was mentioned to me for the endo., to put me in a temporary menopause. I didn't want the risk for side affects so I rejected it, but everyone has to make their own choice.

Also,
Have u ever had the hysteroscopy or laporoscopy done, but they helped me I think for 3 years. Now I am facing the pain again and the decision of what to do as well. What type of doctor are you seeing.

I see a uro-gyn. (the uro-gyn I saw before was the best and helped me so much until he moved away.-My current uro-gyn sucks and probably won't be my doc. much longer)

I also have Interstitial cystitis. The pain is unbearable sometimes and it can wear u down. As crazy as it might sound, I used to take voltarin for arthritis and it helped tremendously with my endo and IC pain too.

(I stopped voltarin because it caused me a miscarriage of twins) I don't have the heart to go back on it, although I need it. If you ever need anything or just some extra support please let me know.

Have u ever been checked for IC. If you have it, (many with endo do) it could be contributing to your pain. The meds I take for the IC also help me a lot. I certainly hope your doctors are kinder and more supportive to you than mine.

I had the most wonderful doc. a few years ago. After he retired I have not been able to find anyone who cares. Most prefer to tell u the pain is in your head around here.

I cannot say I know what u r going through because everyone is different, but I can tell u that my pain was so severe that before Meggy got here I dealt with depression. I was hurting so bad and doctors kept telling me that no one could hurt as much as I described. Before Meggy I had given up on docs and just started to spiral in my pain.

Now, I am seeking help again. I want to be around and fully functional from now on. Meggy needs me and I won't ever give up again. It may take forever, but I will find the help we both need. I just tell the docs straight out-don't waste your time or mine. If you can't help just say it so that I can move on.

I am truly sorry for your pain and for your loss.

Engin117-Thanks for the advice. I have had the sx laporoscopy done before I concieved my ds (we had fertility issues and he was concieved IUI). It did help but things have been getting worse since having Aubrey. My thought on that now is I am done having kids and if I am going to need sx every 3 yrs why not just remove everything! We will see. Right now my hormones are so out of whack and I am just sick of it all! Maybe when things calm down and I am able to think clearly I will change my mind. I also wanted to ask what IC is?

Thanks for all the support and advice. I was have been in qite a bit of pain for the past 2 days (since the pelvic exam). Of course I have now started bleeding AGAIN! I could really go for no more periods!!!!!

I had the lupron therapy done for trying to kill off my fibroids. I had endo too, but we didn't know it yet. The fake menopause was AWFUL....the one thing I was looking forward to was no periods for several months....but, I was one of the few who still got it!!!

I hope you will be able to get to an end soon. I think I told you when i had my d&c the baby was still there too. It had stopped growing I think at 8 week but the placenta continued to develop and was too big to pass.

I guess that is what happened to me. He said the placenta was there and in tack. I am just amazed at how my body held onto this for so long. I started my "period" today and it is awful. Do you mind if I email you and ask some questions? jenniferhaub@sbcglobal.net

Do you ladies ever try a heat pack for the pain? Sometimes I find it helps. Also, do you deal with migraines during your cycles?
