Need a chuckle? What do I do with THIS? OT
Seriously, she won't keep elastics, clips or headbands in her hair. It's getting in her eyes, and Mike doesn't want to cut it!! It has a life of its own, no part, no rhyme or reason and it's still growing. LMAO! If you brush it, it's even WORSE!!! I know y'all can't really help with this one, but thought someone could probably use a chuckle today. :)

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jedd
My sister's DD hair is like that. She had tight tight ringlet curls and if they brush it, it pops out like and afro....LOL

They let it grow out as long as it wants and then wash it every night and leave it be in the morning. She everntually got used to having things in her hair. They did buy some type of conditiner that helps it to stay curly a bit.

I say let it grow!!!!!!!! She's such a cutie!!!!!

From the pics, videos, and descriptions i have seen, it seems to fit her personality! A little wild and a lot of fun! i would check for some kind of curl product...something to tame it a little, then just spray and scrunch. And keep trying the elastics, etc. She'll leave 'em in at some point!

She's sooo beautiful and so is her hair!!! If it doesn't bother her with it loose, don't let it bother you. I'm sure she'll let you put something in it eventually. I agree with maybe trying some kind of styling product-even a gel or something to try to get a little lift in the front so it may stay out of her eyes, if that's an issue or a curl tamer-type product like the other mommy mentioned. My older son has curly hair with a mind of it's own too. When it gets a little on the longer side, everyone thinks he's a girl. Even with the gel, sometimes it still won't do what I want but I love the curls too much to cut them too short. :)

So, it IS socially acceptable to use styling product on a toddler? I wasn't sure, lol. I'll have to see what I can find. Honestly, it never occurred to me. I just thought you weren't supposed to use anything on *virgin hair*. Thanks ladies!! This is my new mission :) I can't be taking her out in public looking like I don't care for her hair, lol. I DO try, LMAO!

Oh yes, there are toddler lines of products....I use Johnson's Buddies Easy Comb hair detangler or something like that. she doesn't really get tangles, but I bought it because I needed to exert some level of control over her waves :)

katiesmommy
Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!
I happen to think that is absolutely beautiful hair that should not have anything done to it!! Don't tame it, don't coif it, nothing!!!!!!!!! I would fluff it up more and let those lovely curls bounce! :)
