Doctor Update and discouraged!!!
As of right now we have no solid answers still! I do not honestly understand why healthcare is the way it is. Our family doctor (which is now our ex) told Michael yesterday that unless the pain increases he can return to work Monday. OK that is fair enough but considering he can not sit upright more than 20 mins or so at a time w/o losing his breathe How can he work and drive a hazardous materials truck? I have made an appt with another practice here but they can't see him until Mon. They have also already sent a referral to the pulm. since they are extremely booked. He is basing the referral upon what the xrays and CT scan showed. The appt with the pulm will be toward the end of the week or first of the next week. They will let us know tomorrow. As for working the new dr has said NO! I am not sure what the findings are but I feel that we will have answers come Mon. His work is being great with us and trying to get his short term disability started. We did not know he had this but they said not to look for it for at least 3-4 weeks. That is hard but it is uplifting knowing that we may have something coming. They said even if he was back to work they would still pay him for all of the weeks he missed. Thankfully too my finance co for my car has deferred our payment for 2 mths b/c of no income. I still am so discouraged but I see hope and light somewhere. I just keep remembering there are a lot of other people and families worse than us. When I am down I think of the positives.

Today Kaitlyn had a dermatologist appt. On the interstate there my tire blew out. I guess this was the event for today. LOL My tires are odd size so of course there was complications. The only place that had them today would only sell a set of 4. The one that blew was my spare b/c we hadn't been able to get a new set when the original one ripped. Anyway I have no choice but to get the tires or be stranded. The stupid place charged me 492. for the set. I had 500 to pay our bills that were left and now I have 8. I guess the bills will wait. I have to have transportation.

I took the boys in yesterday and they have inner and middle ear infections. He put them on Augmentin ES for 20 days. I have to take them back in 3 weeks to recheck them. They are still real sick. They are real clingy and fretful. It is so unlike them. I hate to see a baby sick and in pain. I have noticed they are having a lot of pain with the infection and tearing at their ears when the Motrin wears off. He said they were so stopped up that it was like there was no tubes there. The audio girl could not get a reading at all. I am praying by tomorrow they are having less pain. I will keep you updated. I am going to go relax in the tub while I have all 7asleep. Just as soon as I get in there 1 will wake up. I just know it. LOL

I am thinking and praying for you all. I am really praying for the ones in Ike's path. Please stay safe. Carla

So sorry for all u r going through. I hope every one is feeling better soon. I am glad that u booked with another doc. I cannot believe the old one had the nerve to chance your husband going back to work, especially driving a hazardous material truck when he is not well. This is aweful. I hope the new docs. can shed light on something and help him feel better.

Lots of hugs. U can email me anytime. My signature to the side has my email. That is the same for all the ladies.

I'm glad that Michael is getting in to another doctor. Hopefully this one will do a better job with his care. Glad to hear that the disability will be kicking in - what a lifesaver! Hope the boys start feeling better - I hate it that they keep struggling with ear infections :-(. I suppose they will be next in line for tubes. ***big hugs***

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
You all are constantly on my prayer list. You all keep getting so much thrown at you, and you still come out with your faith - it's humbling and inspiring. Keeping fingers crossed for you, Michael and all your little ones.
