Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
I apologize for being a post hog, but this is hilarious (to me any way)
So mil had a wonderful day today. I hope tomorrow is the same. I mean she was saying all sorts of stuff and she ate, they took out the feeding tube, she walked, etc.

Here's the funny part: Last night at 8pm she was coming around from her terrible day. They told her and fil that "nurse Barbara" was coming on duty. Jane told fil that she "doesn't like Barbara". So fil went and nicely asked if they could switch nurses. The charge nurse said that's fine.

Here's the kicker! Why doesn't she like Nurse Barbara? Well, she had a nightmare about nurse Barbara trying to kill her but she had never even actually had Barbara as a nurse. She told fil about the nightmare this morning and didn't even realize that she had told him that stuff.

Morphine I guess.....

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!
Too funny! My mom has actually hit my dad upon waking from a dream that he did something to her and she has been mad at me before for something I did to her in a dream. She knows that it isn't real but is so vivid it takes a while to get over them. Maybe your mil is the same way and since she is out of her comfort zone it is just more pronounced! Glad she is doing better!

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
LOL. I am so glad that she is doing so well. I know you are exhausted from all this, it can take it all out of ya. I hope she continues to have her good days.

Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
I'm glad she's doing better! "This is your brain on drugs...Any questions?" :P

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
meds can do some serious stuff to you! How funny! Poor Nurse barbara!

My mom recently had a major surgery and long hospital stay. She called her PA "hazel nut" but her name was really Alice. She had all these opinions of her that were just not true. We were cracking up about all the mean things she said about her. She doesn't remember saying them but she remembers she didn't like her. SOunds like your MIL is almost back to fighting form!

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Can I get some morphine over here? I keep dreaming that I am sleeping 5 broken hours a night and that I have a screaming crankmonster baby...and then I realize it is actually my life.

So glad your MIL is up to some of her old tricks again!
