Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
I have to start swearing like a trucker now! (Clsoe your ears, Jedd's mommy's church ladies!)
No, I seriously will have to start playing the role. My back has been killing me for months ever since Sebastian transformed overnight into The Incredible Hulk (he really did. I had to start cutting the bands on the arms on his onesies because his guns are too huge). So anyway, carting him around and helping him off to sleep are turning me into a grandma pretty quickly. So I ordered from Walmart.com one of those back supports with the suspenders that all the delivery guys and professional movers wear! Once it arrives, I'm going to harness myself in and feel anew, ready to rock Sebastian into Dreamland (read: oblivion so I can get a break). I think everyone will start mistaking me as one of those beefy luggage guys at the airport.

So anyway, once I am in full regala, I will have to start stockpiling beef jerky and beer in the diaper bag so I seem manly enough for my back support.

ethan's mom
Meridith, mom to Ethan born 4/23/08. Ethan was diagnosed with reflux at about 1 month. He has been on Zantac (unsuccessful) and Prevacid. He is currently taking 7.5 mg of Prevacid 2x per day, with good results. We also suspect MPI, though this hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet.
Ethan is mostly breastfed, though we are doing one bottle of soy formula each day. We also do some homeade "solids' including, so far pears, avocado, sweet potato, and peaches.

You are too funny!! Seriously, let me know how it works. My back is killing me too. Nicholas is 18 lbs at 4 1/2 months. He is in nine and 12 month old clothes. My 21 month is 26 pounds and I think before long they'll be sharing a wardrobe!! We can't complain too much though, at least they don't have trouble getting the nutrition they need. :)

I will take a nice shot of me wearing the support and a plaid flannel shirt and post it on here for your viewing pleasure. I am totally wearing this ALL THE TIME if it fits! (Should arrive next week!)

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!
I kept expecting to find bad words in this post. Maybe you should have Sebastian carry you around to wear him out!
Check with your
doctor first!
