Possible to do better on Alimentum than Neocate
Just wondering if this is possible. My dd is 4 mo old and has MSPI was on Neocate for about a month and a half but started to refuse feedings. We tried various AR meds and then we tried switching to Neocate (on it for three weeks now). so far nothing has improved but I notice that for the past three weeks she has lots of loose and mucousy stools. Could this be the neocate. when she was on Alimentum we had an occasional mucousy stool but this has been every one. Want to switch back to Alimentum but GI says we shouldn't although he is also not concerned about the weird stools.

My name is being used fraudently to ill represent me. Please be cautious of any information you receive with my name. including,,, anything from anyone claiming to be Engi Nowaira online. Otherwise, I will be representing myself in person so that everyone will have opportunity to identify me in person.
My previous drivers license was also stolen. The new one has extra security features on it.
Sorry I cannot find more. I wanted to get the percentages of ingredients for both so you could see the major difference but I can't find it for Neocate. Both list a type of processed corn as the first ingredient. I cannot find anywhere to tell how much corn and soy are in neocate but for alimentum powder it is 35.7% Maltodextrin (corn) It has 8% soy oil, 17.5% casein, I think that is a dairy ingredient-not sure. Corn syrup solids is listed as the first ingredient which means there is more of this than anything else in the formula. It goes in the order of the amount included in comparison of other ingredients. so with cyanocobalamin being the last ingredient, there is the least of amount of this in the formula than any other ingredient. Alimentum also contains table sugar-sucrose.

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
There are a couple of other hyopallergenic ones out there (the only other one I can think of is Elecare) There are a number of moms here that have MSPI and MPI kiddos, so they'll chime in soon!
