Julie - I have three children. My youngest Katie is my refluxer. My first Ben was very colicy and is ADHD. My middle Jakob is pretty easy going. Katie had it bad as a baby no sleep for two years. She was on Nutramagin, Prevacid and Zantac. Thought we were through it but after age three it came back big time. After her scope she was put on Prevacid 45mg a day and mylanta as needed. Scope was in Sept. Showed damage in stomach and espophogus. It took about 7 months of medication and Reflux diet for her to start feeling better.

Hi there. How are you doing? We are feeling very anxious about Tues. I can't wait until it is over and maybe maybe get some good information to help our little katies.

Tracey, mom to Katie. Diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks and put on Zantac. At 8 months old she was removed from Zantac as it was giving her migraines, currently on Prevacid. Switched to Elecare since she is not gaining weight; trialing solids after being off for a month. Geneticist said reason she isn't gaining weight is she is stubborn. Upcoming appts.: Neurologist for developmental delay and EGD scheduled for September. She is one funny baby!

HI!! What is your first name? Mine is Tracey

We are so very anxious about Tuesday. I can't talk about it in front of her because I start crying and she then looks all concerned about me. I am hoping they have some answers that can help us. I too had wondered a few weeks ago if we still need the EGD and for the past few days she has "projectile refluxed" (she closes her mouth to keep from throwing up but you can tell it is forceful) a couple of times a day.

Is your Katie still feeling better? I know you had posted that you had removed something from her diet but I don't remember what it was. Does she know that she is being scoped?

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
I'll be thinking about both your babies on Tuesday.. i'm nervous and anxious for you both.. all will be fine :)

Hi. My name is Juli.

Well funny thing. Ever since I said that she has been feeling better and questioned whether we should do it, she is sick again. Everyone on this forum tells me that reflux is a rollercoaster and I believe it. I don't know what has made her so sick.

WHat made a big difference for her back when she was super sick was to remove all dairy. Then after about three months we tried eggs and she seems to be O.K. with it. The GI doc requires her to have at least 1 yogurt and a cup of lactaid so she can get her minimum amout of calcium.

SHe just woke up with - mommy I have a tummy ache. Now I am so glad I have that appointment. But I am scared too. My hubby can't even think about it.

I think her appt. is at 6:00am so hopefully we will all be too sleepy to feel our nervousness.

I will be thinking about your little katie.

Oh and no she doesn't know. She has a major fear of doctors. Just the mention of it puts her in a tizzy. Not sure how I am going to handle it. There is a Curious George book where he goes to the hospital to get a puzzle piece taken out of his tummy. Maybe will look at that and talk about it.
