ok, I feel like i have tried everything (well almost)
To get E to drink her formula or try milk or rice milk. i am still scared to try soy bc it was harder to intro things with soy than dairy. All the cups, straws, bottles, flavoring it with strawberry syrup (which I never wanted to resort to but did). We are down to one reluctant bottle a day, either in the morning or bedtime. So even that is not consistent. i am calling the pedi in the morning. This has gone on way too long and i can't stand it anymore (even though I am pretty sure he will make light of it). Concentrating her formula doesn't do any good if she won't drink it anyway (concentrated or not, it seems the same now). She is drinking more water and juice than before (I think around 8 or 10 oz maybe) but I can't get her to touch anything remotely milk like with the exception of one small bottle. tearing hair out ~Sharon

Does anyone else ever scream their head off at their child who won't drink their %&%$#$ formula???? OR IS IT JUST ME???? I get so frustrated sometimes!!! On a good note, she just started today drinking out of a sippy cup that is not takentoss, so now i can take it in the car without having her soaking when we get to our destination (because she dumps out a lot with the take n toss). but she will only drink water or juice out of it. I just put her in her bed with the newfound sippy with formula in it in the hope that she will get an independent hungry streak and actually drink it. Don't worry, I will take it out of there in an hour so she won't spontaneously drink it when she wakes up in the morning. That would be my luck, she would drink it and puke and then forego cups too.

oh, and I know they can get ear infections from drinking while lying down, and its bad for their teeth to go to bed with it, etc etc but it is pretty doubtful it will happen anyway. She is in there crying right now.

Frustration comes with the job. That's why we get paid so much. Wait...lol. So, seriously, sorry that this is happening. Does she have to have formula? My son stopped around 14 months. He didn't want it anymore. He was down to the night time bottle and he just wouldn't take it anymore. He would drink formula out of the sippy though and I did give it to him that way until he refused the formula.

ideas for formula or milk
Hello, I have a daughter that was quite underweight and difficult to make a drink the formula. Reflux did not help that, she only wanted to drink water. Anyway, these were my tricks: I put formula with the oatmeal/bowl of cheerios. I also play with the temperature of the milk and giving her warm at night (she seemed to do better that way). I gave her a straw, a choice of the cup, even mommy's cup would have the formula., water bottle filled with formula as well. hope this helps. don't give up
