Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
shout it from the rooftops!!!
MIL IS OFF THE VENT! She's been completely off for almost 3 hours now. They say they believe she's done with it.

I took some recordings of Morgan's voice today and she smiled. Her bp also went down for a minute. Then she shook her head for me to turn it off. She was tearing up.

I had to leave at 2 but dh was there. He called me crying telling me to pray bc they were about to try. Then he called back and said it was done.

I pray now that she won't be in any kind of depressive state that will slow her progress down.

Thanks for all your hugs and prayers!

And by the way....I told them that I'm not coming back to work...except to get my check and Maggie's stuff tomorrow. Their loss. I am going to interview for a part time spot at another place tomorrow and I have 3 sub days lined up next week with mmo. God will provide for us somehow! I don't have to take that woman's crap.

Mary & Nicholas 7-17-03 (non-refluxer)allergies, asthma on Singulair and Flovent & Aidan 1-28-07(my refluxer)Nissen Fundoplication on June 20, 2008, FTT, MSPI, DGE, ear tubes, allergies and severe GERD now currently taking just Prevacid and drinking Elecare Vanilla 1+.
I think you made the right decision and I am so happy to hear your MIL is doing better. It won't be long and she will be driving you crazy once again. You are right, God will provide and I think you will be so much less stressed not being there. I still think you should put in an anonymous call to the state about their child/teacher ratios. That place sounded awful.

Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
WooooHooooo! God is good. I prayed that she'd come off that vent *today*! I'm so glad she's off! I am sure that there is some other great job that's waiting there for you, hopefully something that will give you more time with your family and will be flexible for you. (((hugs))) and rejoicing with you!

So happy about your mil and the fact u resigned. It is great. To me the way they treated u was abusive. There was no respect or kindness shown not to let you be with a sick family member. You deserve so much better. May you be blessed with a job 10 times better in everything as to where you were or whatever is best for you at this time in your life. Our work is a major part of our life and if we are not treated well at work it is hard to stay happy. Wishing u the best. May your MIL have full recovery.

Good for you:) One thing I really like about you is that you follow your principals. And Yes God has a way of providing. Something will come up. Yay for MIL! I hope she keeps a possitive attitude and gets stronger everyday.

LOL, Amber, I was just saying this morning to dh's family that I didn't quit JUST to be with dh but bc of the principle of the whole thing. I definitely try to go with my principles. I can't stand when I feel like anyone is being treated unfairly.

Thanks everybody for the support!

Dh will be home any minute. I'm so happy for him. He's so happy today!

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
that is great news about the vent! and good for you for leaving!
Check with your
doctor first!
