My dd the anorexic
Okay, don't take offense to the title. Just a little humor or I will crack.

So, A has been off food for a week now. You would be amazed at the difference it has made. Her skin is clearer. She isn't having diarhea. Her hives, excema(ap) and her wheezing are almost non-existent. She hasn't even asked for much food either. It is so weird. It is like she knows that it was making her sick. So, we are on formula and water only. I'm still not sure when we will start back on food. We go back to the allergist next week. I am just hoping that we don't have a big weight loss.

Something OT here. I know that most of you aren't from around Oklahoma but I have something I would love for you guys to do. My school, the one that I teach and coach at, is in a contest to get a Miranda Lambert Concert at our pep rally. I'm the cheer coach so that would be an awesome thing for us. The good thing is that it is a fundraiser for Junior Achievement as well. CarMax is donating .01 for every vote. So, if you have time and want to go to and click on the Rally for your School sign on the slide show. Vote for Cleveland High School. It is towards the bottom. Right now we are second behind one of the largest school districts in the area. We are a pretty small town and this would be cool to have plus a great charity to help out. Thanks! -Amanda

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
That's great news!!!! I am so happy to hear that she is doing well. It should keep getting better, too. Oh - Sebastian didn't lose weight on formula only. I think as long as they are getting calories somehow, it doesn't matter. And I'll definitely vote!

This is our dd, Alessandra. Dx with GER 10/07. Ran the gamut with meds and now done with them (crossed fingers). Using magnesium, probiotics and prebiotic supplements. With the exception of teething and general sassy attitude, all is well now. They really CAN grow out of it!
That's okay about the title - if our kids are anything to go by, then most of them must be bulimic! Glad to hear she's doing better. I went and voted - you guys are right up there!

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
i voted too.... looks like you're in the lead!!!
Check with your
doctor first!
