Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
Mystery Shopping
I was just thinking that a couple of people had expressed an interest in making some money at home, and thought I'd post this. I do the mystery shopping thing for 2 companies, and would be happy to pass their names/websites on to anyone who's interested...it's not going to make you rich, and you have to have a sitter to do most of them. But hubby and I have had quite a few free dinners out, and I've made a few bucks here and there...which helps out. You get total control over which shops you agree to do, so you can make it work around your schedule. I do a few a month at the most, but I guess if you had a willing babysitter you could do a lot more. Anyway, you *don't* have to pay money to get work with them, so if you've seen ads that offer to get you started with that for a fee, just ignore them! It's not hard to sign up.

Not to hijack the thread, LOL, but if you do any sort of crafty ANYTHING ( jewelry, hairbows, sewing, knitting, collages, scrapbooks, etc ) you can make an etsy and do that too. I just started one today!

ethan's mom
Meridith, mom to Ethan born 4/23/08. Ethan was diagnosed with reflux at about 1 month. He has been on Zantac (unsuccessful) and Prevacid. He is currently taking 7.5 mg of Prevacid 2x per day, with good results. We also suspect MPI, though this hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet.
Ethan is mostly breastfed, though we are doing one bottle of soy formula each day. We also do some homeade "solids' including, so far pears, avocado, sweet potato, and peaches.

I do the Etsy thing too, only so far I have made about $15 in one year. Oh well, I can write off my crafting supplies, which helps with taxes. I just love having a hubby who is self employed. (sarcasm)
I'd love to hear the info on mystery shopping. You can email me at dshepherd11@kc.rr.com

Hijack away LOL ;o) Seriously, I don't ever get offended by "hijacking". I think it adds to the posts and it's fun when they take on a life of their own! I love to sew (posted some pics of outfits I made 4 the girls on my blog today) but I'm not sure I have the patience to make more than one or two things a month...it was hard to steal time here and there to get it done. I guess if I made more of the same thing it would be easier this time around....I'll check it out for sure. Actually, Sarah wants to get her own Etsy site for some of the little things she makes. I'll email the mystery shopping stuff tonight....dinner calls!

When you see my site, you'll know why I've only made $15. lol
I am "MeridithKnits" on there.
I'm not sure what you sewing skills are, but if you can work without a pattern, there are a lot of sewing things listed on the Alchemy section, where you bid to do the work. Some are also with patterns.

I am Jacky, mommy to Joslyn Olivia (April 2008) and Katelyn Isabel (November 2009).
Joslyn was dx'ed with Silent Reflux with breath apnea at 5 days old. VERY SCARY!
Katelyn is a spitter reflux baby. Started at 3 days old as well. (Both were/are breast fed.. symptoms came on when my milk came in).
Joslyn has been reflux free since she was 12 months (suffered poor weight gain for a few months) and Katelyn is now on Zantac... waiting to see if it works.
ohh i am interested! msjacky@gmail.com
