OT-Ear Tube Question
I think Aidan has another ear infection as evidenced by tons of nasty crap draining from his ear. I called ENT and they said just put his drops in for 5 days and call back if he doesn't seem to be any better. Has anyone experienced a tube coming out? The reason I ask is that the ped said one of Aidan's was starting to push out of the ear drum when we were there last week and ever since he has been really bothered by his ears and sleeping like crap. I am wondering if it is really an infection or just the tube coming out of his ear. Any ideas? Of course ENT can't see him for 2 weeks for just an ear check. Do you take your kids to the ped for this or just follow ENT for ear issues?

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
I can't believe they won't see him before then. I would go to the ped for sure. Somebody here had an inf with a tube a while back. I'm sorry!

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jedd
Just for the fact that 1)you can get seen faster and 2)it's a cheaper co-pay...

I'd go see the pedi.

He/she can tell if the tube is in place and it there is an infection brewing. We don't go back to eh ENT for those issues it's always off to the pedi. I imagine IF the pedi saw an issue she would then send you to the ENT...and the circle would continue.....LOL

Check with your
doctor first!
