Mom (Laura) of 2 girls both with reflux: oldest, Larysa, born 11/14/03 has tons of allergy problems and reflux; youngest, Lauren, born 11/10/06 has Colic/Reflux since 2 1/2 weeks. Tried Zantac, Levsin and Mylanta all were no help. Was adding cereal to formula with every feeding. Tried Soy, Nutramigen and LactoFree formulas those were no help either. Currently on 30 mg of Prevacid / day and Carafate (as needed) 2 ml 4x/day. She is on regluar cow's whole milk and table foods. Picture: Taken 8-24-08.
Sorry I have been missing in action. I've been busy with Summer college, looking for a job and of course taking care of my girls.

Larysa (my oldest) is doing great. Since we have eliminated eggs and bananas and limited Wheat intake she is doing better with her allergies. We have also started giving her Zyrtec on a regular basis.

Lauren just saw the GI again. She is now 22 lbs and 32 inches. She is to remain on the 30 mg of Prevacid and Carafate as needed. She ran a 102.4 fever Sunday and yesterday as well, so far today no fever. She had no other symptoms (sneezing, coughing, running nose, etc.). So, I'm wondering if it is possible that fevers can get that high just off of cutting teeth? She only has her 2nd year molars left to cut.

I have been on a big job search hunt. There was one job that looked promising but the higher ups decided that they weren't ready to hire anyone yet (hiring freeze). I have since signed on with Robert Half Technology (recruiting company) and we are in the process of a possible job for me. We are in step 2 of 3 (setting up phone interview with actual company). It is looking good so far. Step 3 is the face to face interview with actual company. This job is in the same industry and doing the same thing I did 4 years ago when I was working. There is only 1 little glitch, they will be changing their programs over to Java Programming with in the next 1 year and I don't have 'on job experience' with that. My recruiter thinks that they will over look that since I have quite a bit of experience in what they need right now.

Anyway, if you all could please keep me in your prayers I would appreciate it.

Well, I guess that is my update for now. :-)

Hi Laura! What are you going to school for? I just applied for a second degree nursing program. It's one year accelerated but the waiting list is huge. Anyway, I have been taking pre-reqs forever but took this summer off. I really needed the down time. Good luck on your job hunt. It's tough out there, I know! I have been at this job for 5 months now! Time flies!

Teeth can cause a high temp. My oldest would get a 103 -almost 104 temp and then get 2-4 teeth at once. Hopefully that is all the temp was about.

Good luck on the job hunt.
