ethan's mom
Meridith, mom to Ethan born 4/23/08. Ethan was diagnosed with reflux at about 1 month. He has been on Zantac (unsuccessful) and Prevacid. He is currently taking 7.5 mg of Prevacid 2x per day, with good results. We also suspect MPI, though this hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet.
Ethan is mostly breastfed, though we are doing one bottle of soy formula each day. We also do some homeade "solids' including, so far pears, avocado, sweet potato, and peaches.

formula on sale
I may be a little slow on this, since the sale started Sunday, but Target has Nutramigen on sale for $23.99. I just happened in there and found it. They also have others on sale, but I didn't pay too much attention to which ones.

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
sheesh. where do u live for it to be on "sale" for that price. it is cheaper than alimentum up here and i've found a local walmart regular price for 22.88 for my alimentum and abuot 21 something for nutramigen.

We are in Kansas City, and our Wal-Mart price is $25.74, and the grocery store is $27.99. I used to work for Wal-mart (still do technically, though I don't intend to go back), and I remember that prices are regional, and ads are too. It might be worth checking your market, if you are already getting it that cheap, it might be even lower.

yeah, i think the prices are even locally regionalized. i drive 20 miles to get it for 22.88 instead of 25.74 up the street. even w/gas prices it is still cheaper because everythign @ that walmart is cheaper although it is in a more affluent neighborhood (which i find totally odd)... i was thinking about switching him off alimentum but he's tolerating dairy now so i'm gonna stick with it another few weeks and trial milk. thaks for the info.

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
We were paying as much for it here in Dallas as Ethan's mom. Oddly, the cheapest I usually found it was at Babies R Us. There is a really good website called i-medica.com where you can get it by the case. It works out to be about $21 per can with free shipping. It usually took about 4 to 5 days to receive our order.
