Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
As OT as it gets-I may as well tell ya'll
So in the post to me it was mentioned that the teachers blamed Maggie's issues on teething and it was actually an ear inf. Well, that's only the beginning!!!

We have a few floaters at the center to relieve us for our break and our potty time. One of the girls is a BIG MOUTH to put it lightly. She decided to tell me yesterday that MAGGIE CRIES ALL THE TIME! I informed her that if she was 19mos old, at a new center, cutting about 6 teeth, and had an ear inf. --she'd prob cry all the time too. I also went on to tell her later that: SHE IS NOT MAGGIE'S TEACHER! MAGGIE HAS TWO TEACHERS THAT KEEP ME WELL INFORMED OF HER DAYS AND BEHAVIOR. I said I DO NOT NEED YOU TO TELL ME ANYTHING BECAUSE ALL YOU'RE DOING IS MAKING ME WORRY ABOUT HER WHEN I CAN'T DO A DANG THING ABOUT IT. I told her THERE IS NO GOOD REASON WHY YOU NEEDED TO TELL ME THAT AT ALL. Yes, I swear I actually said all of that! Then that afternoon the director talked to her and Maggie's teacher did too!!! The director asked my co-teacher if I was ok and my co-teacher said "Yeah, I think she handled it" LMAO!

I'm sorry y'all, I'm just not gonna take any childish crap off these women. They need to grow up. Actually they need to listen to the lectures I give the four year olds.

Oh, Maggie's teacher was NOT HAPPY. She called her a b word other than big mouth....she didn't just "talk" to her. She let her have it just like I did.

If you wanna know what the girl said back to me...pretty much nothing. She said "well, I just won't tell you nothing about her" I said "great, that's what I want".

ethan's mom
Meridith
Mom to Ethan, born 4/23/08. Diagnosed with Reflux at about 1 month, started medicating with Zantac, which wasn't helpful for us. At about 2.5 months, we started on Prevacid, twice a day, and that is working much better.
Ethan is breastfed and has a few solids that he is enjoying very much.
Good for you! Sometimes people just need to be told exactly what you are thinking. I expect you won't hear anymore for a while, at least from those who aren't fully supportive of you and Maggie.

Way to go Melissa. You probably nipped the annoyance in the bud. If you would have ignored it, it would have been a daily thing I'm sure. She is cruel to think that you need to hear that.

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Good for you for sticking it to her! That girl sounds like, to quote my mom, a real piece of work (A cheap piece of work). I would cry, too, if I had to hang with that girl. I think Maggie's teacher us awesome...I'm glad you can feel good about taking Maggie there beause you have someone with half a brain (sound slike more, actually) in your corner!
Check with your
doctor first!
