Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Ugh
I'm so tired of waking up at 630. Actually before 630. I don't know if this is teeth or if something else is going on.

I don't see any other signs that it's ears, but this is crazy. Did your babies actually need round the clock pain meds when they were teething/cutting molars? I just hate pumping all that into her.

Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
Keira sometimes did. I felt really bad about it but for a day or two I don't think it's a big deal. She's been waking up at FIVE a.m. lately and I let her stay in her crib till at least 5:45 (she talks/sings/watches her fisher price ocean wonders toy) as there's no way I'm starting a 5 a.m. wake up time.

Jennifer - 1st time mom. Lauren (6/1/07) diagnosed 9/07 with GER at 3 1/2 months. Prevacid 7.5 mg in the am. Currently drinking whole milk and eating great!!
No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
Melissa, I actually took Lauren to the doctor yesterday because of exactly what you are saying! It has been a solid WEEK for Lauren now. I can see two bottom teeth trying come through but could this really require this much pain medicine? I was opening my second bottle of motrin and tylenol. Doctor said she is FINE. Ears are clear, nose a little stuffy, but FINE. She also warned me that since Lauren only has a whooping THREE teeth we could be in for this for awhile! She also told me she saw a 2nd molar trying to come through and she said those can take awhile to get all the way out.

Thanks! Maggie won't lay in her crib and talk. She SCREAMS from the time she wakes till the time I go get her, which is maybe 15mins at the most :(

The last time I felt, Maggie had at least two molars poking through and I could feel the other two under the gum. Her gums are also red in other places. I know she's miserable. I'm trying to be sympathetic....I just hate giving so much pain meds and then she's still cranky.

Wow, you must be so tired especially with the new job. I can't imagine. I always feel guilty for pumping Cooper full of tylenol when he's teething, but it is all I can do. I hope it passes soon. I read your post about the orajel and man did it strike a nerve. They have no right to tell you to medicate your child!

She layed on the floor in the hallway and covered herself up with her blanket. Now she is crying in her crib and won't go to sleep. I am kind of irritated. Yes, I'm definitely tired.

My co-teacher decided to lay out yesterday so I had all 17 of them by myself all day. To be honest though, if I only had 17, I'd rather be by myself.

Any way, Monday we are supposed to have close to 30 kids in the room. We only have four little tables that will comfortably sit 5 kids. They are gonna be so crammed in that room and I'm gonna pull out my hair :)

I can easily get myself in a funk right now, so I'm gonna shut up and try to be positive. LOL

6:30 sounds wonderful to me!!!!...but I get your point. The 2 year molars do seem to hit them hard. My Nathan's have finally all at least broken through partially, but he was miserable for quite a few weeks and is still constantly chewing on his hands (he accidently gags himself and has managed to give himself a red rash goatee). I have only given him Motrin a couple times on the really bad days. He did wake during the night a few times, which is unusual for him and one night stayed up from 2-7am! Hopefully, she'll feel better soon. Personally, we found the orajel really didn't do much for him. Good luck!

Thanks Renee. She has started crying out in the night too. It's after the meds have worn off. I am gonna get some of those hyland's tablets to try.

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
Melis, I know you hate doing the med thing but I had to do it too...Nate is going thru a 3 AT A TIME phase again. I am even alternating the tylenol/motrin at night. He does this...it is so extreme for a week or 2 then it calms down (up, down, up, down) It is hard when you are so tired. Hopefully, it won't last much longer. The worst thing (IMHO) is when they get back to "normal", it happens again 2 weeks later :(

katiesmommy
Tracey, mom to Katie diagnosed with GERD at 3 week.
I'm a bad mommy. I have always made Katie entertain herself if she woke up too early. She had a mobile and a Fisher Price Aquarium. Her room is also pitch black so the sun doesn't wake her up. Is she too little for Tylenol PM?? I AM JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracey, you're not a bad mom-you're a lucky mom! Morgan used to sleep with me till 11am at Maggie's age. Maggie just does not want to sleep in and will not entertain herself-period!

Danie, I hope she cuts the 12 she has left right now and gets it done, lol.

Check with your
doctor first!
