Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Work Update
I just thought I'd throw an update in since it's almost halfway through my 2nd week. Big milestone, huh, lol.

I still really like my job and Maggie is doing pretty well. She's crying as we speak but oh well...that's life with Mags.

The director at the center is HILARIOUS to say the least. It's weird....she's very professional and knowledgeable and intelligent....then when it's just us and her....she's a nut! She's around mid-50's. She's a big time cusser. You would think that would bother me, but honestly it doesn't. I think she's funny. She doesn't cuss out of meanness or being ugly. It's just apparently how she talks. Any way, every time it's just "us girls" she lets it fly. Yes, it's a little rude but I like having a boss that "is what she is" and she tells it like it is. I like having the structure that she makes us adhere to. She wants her center run the way the textbooks say they are supposed to be and she will take no less! If you mess up, she's gonna air it right there in the staff meeting. In the past that would have bothered me, but at this point I think it's a good thing. It keeps people accountable. My thought is: I don't want to get pointed out so I'm gonna do what I'm supposed to :)

Any way, I miss y'all but for the most part I'm too busy to think about it till I get home. Today I got off at 540 and had to be back for a meeting at 630. Basically I worked from 830-730 with 2 hour breaks. Thank God dh gets the girls.

Hugs to all of ya!

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
Hey glad things are going so good. We miss you here. Sounds like your boss has a potty mouth like me...maybe that's why you like her so much, since she's like me ;)

THANKS! Yeah, D, she's like you---not! I told you that stuff doesn't bother me, didn't I! Just bc I don't say a word doesn't mean that it offends me :)

I think I get my first paycheck Friday. It won't be much after they take out Maggie's tuition and my SLED check and my dss filing fee. :( but it's something. All that together is $120. So I'll have about $200 before taxes. TMI? I don't care if y'all know how rich I am, lol.

Ha, I'm working my butt off for $8/hr. My hip still is messed up from so much mopping last week. The right side of my leg and foot is numb :)

I'm so glad to hear the job is going well and that maggie is settling in! I had a boss once that was a "cusser". But she was so negative. If we got a telemarketer calling the office, MAN, she'd be cursing all morning and slamming the phone. Everyone was afraid of her. lol. She was an older lady, with white hair, and everyone called her the "evil Q-tip". I was supposed to replace her, but ended up moving. She made me cry all the time. That's why I like temp jobs. If I don't like the job, they find me something else, and I'm only there long enough to do my job and get out. But, again, it doesn't pay well. If you work, you work, and you should be proud no matter what it pays. And if you are a mother that works, you should be all the more proud!! You're doing great Melissa!!!

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
She sounds great! I have had so many jerk bosses that a cusser/lady that let's it all hang out is a real treat! Glad it is going well!
Check with your
doctor first!
