Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
OT...milk question??
Hey all. I was having trouble posting but I followed the steps on the "help" screen and now it's working (thanks help screen, lol)

Have any of you used that Horizon non refrigerated milk? Or any other brand for that matter (I think Farmland makes it too)? I was just wondering how your lo did with it. Nate is still drinking milk like crazy (I'm still looking into buying a cow and installing a tap, LOL) and it is sooo hard to keep it cold while out and about. He does prefer his milk COLD (has been known to throw it at me if it is not cold) but I figure I could maybe add an ice cube to it. The thought of room temp milk sold in a juice box type container just sounds icky to me, but in this hot humid weather it is so hard to keep it cold. I also wonder what they add to it to keep it fresh like that...we all know how sensitive these lil AR babies are when it comes to milk/formula ;)

Heehee. I have not tried it but I love the pic! Have you bought those (I can not rememeber the brand but it starts with and F and it is metal sippy cup or straw cup)? I usually put Aubrey's "milk" in that it stays cold much longer. I think the info on the cup says 6 hours-not sure if it is that long but you get the idea. I also have an insulated bag that I put the cup in w/ and ice pack. Seems to still be chilled. Good luck!

Jennifer - 1st time mom. Lauren (6/1/07) diagnosed 9/07 with GER at 3 1/2 months. Prevacid 7.5 mg in the am. Currently drinking whole milk and eating great!!
No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
I have the same issue! Lauren won't drink out of the insulated cups yet, so I am constantly dragging this little lunchbag looking cooler around with me with ice packs in it! I too feel like a bag lady, but warm milk grosses me out. I didn't even know their was a kind of milk that was unrefrigerated...

I also plunked down the $16 for a FOGOO stainless steel sippy. They do keep things cooler a lot longer, but they leak and Lauren doesn't really like it -- yet!

LOL guys...bag lady, LOL!! Jennifer(s)-I do have the fogoo sippy. I actually put the milk in it but I have to transfer it to a take n toss cup (he is so picky still) I have the bag with the many ice packs as well. We are going to FL next month...I was doing an online order to have some food items delivered to our room. It says a "popular" park item is the boxed milk. I know my ice packs will NOT last more than 2 hours in the FL heat. I have made a few calls this morning...they tell me that milk is available at the beverage carts now so that will help. I also think I am gonna front the $$ for a really nice stainless steel insulated container. I need to take it thru security (empty of course) and fill it before getting on the plane. Warm milk just makes me cringe, lol ;)
