Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Update for today
Well, right now Mags won't go to sleep. She keeps crying. I know all this is throwing her for a serious loop. I feel sooooo bad for her. I truly do, but I have to suck it up.

My day was busy but ok. I had to set a couple things straight with my "co-teacher" in a very nice way. No confrontation, just getting it straight that I wasn't gonna be the door mat.

Mags did ok. She had kind of a rough morning. Don't know exactly what that means.

This morning we passed our church (where we go and did mmo). She knew we were going to school to see her friends. When I passed it she started pointing at the church and crying "babies, babies, babies......" Oh my heart was breaking and I was laughing at the same time.

It'll get easier. I know right now your heart is breaking a little but trust me it gets easier. Pretty soon it will be routine and she will adjust. (((HUGS))) The first week will be the hardest.

It's terrible. She's still screaming "noooo" and mama mama. I'm crying as hard as she is. I don't know what to do. I feel so guilty and I miss her too.

Jennifer - 1st time mom. Lauren (6/1/07) diagnosed 9/07 with GER at 3 1/2 months. Prevacid 7.5 mg in the am. Currently drinking whole milk and eating great!!
No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
It's separation anxiety. I'll be exactly where you are right now in another 2 weeks. :( One of my friends at work was telling me that when she came back to work from summer when her lo was 16 months that he took it the hardest of anytime ever and he's 11 now. She told me one of the things she would do is give him a shirt or a blanket that smelled like her for him to sleep with at night. Try to be strong, hopefully it will only last a few days.

I am glad that you set her straight so quickly! You don't have to be confrontational, but let her know and the sooner the better! She'll respect you more too.

Ok, we made it through. whew...that was tough. That's a good idea about a shirt or something. I thought about giving her an animal or something but that's even better. I'll figure something out.

I just feel really bad for her.

Tomorrow dh is off. Should I leave her home to give her a break or take her? I'm torn on that.

Thanks for being here for me y'all!

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Oh, poor Mags and mommy!! I agree with Amber - she'll adjust soon, but it's so hard in the meantime. As far as tomorrow goes, I would put her in daycare for at least part of the day (maybe go in the morning and have daddy pick her up early in the afternoon). That's what we've been doing while dh has been on summer break. That way, she stays in the routine and gets a little treat in the same day :-)
