Buzzownens mommyReglan made Joslyn crazy. She cried horribly (she never did that before) and just did not seem right. Once we took her off of it she returned to normal. The techniques we use are:
I nurse her with her feet down by mine. she looks like she is kind of standing. (vertical) I burp her in between sides and keep her upright for 30 mins after feeding is done. She has never had an issue nursing. (when she was born she did not know how to suck. It took a few days to get her to suck right. She learned how while at Scottish Rite during her stay... with an amazing lactation consultant.)
She does get one bottle of BM first thing in the morning. As she sleeps all night long (10 pm to 6:30/7 am.) I pump each morning first thing. For that feeding we hold her facing us (sideways) and more upright. We burp her every 2 ounces. (she will drink 4.5 ounces first thing. After that we think she takes about 3 ounces.)
