Messy, but Eating
Photobucket

So, today is day 2 of coyle eating A LOT. Maybe he heard me and the GI talking about him or something. He's not sleeping well, but I swear he's been a pig. Every time he wakes at night i've had to feed him. I surely hope that this is a growth spurt and that his clothes won't fit in a few days. Seriously, he's never eaten this well (boy do I hope i'm not jinxing this) and he's just sooo small, you know.

Breakfast-7 oz

A tiny bit of cheerios and some banana (usually doesn't eat well in mornings before pooping, lol)

Snack-6 oz. Some puffs

Lunch-2 oz pear juice, an entire jar of stage 2 food, 5 finger nail size pieces of chicken, 5 finger nail size pieces of steamed apple, an entire cracker

Snack-6 oz. some puffs

Dinner-stage 1 carrots, few bites of oatmeal, an entire cracker, 1/2 jar stage 1 pears, 1 oz pear juice

Nite time bottle-4 oz

yesterday he ate about the same and he woke for a bottle @ 11:30 too. i think this is good for a baby who weighs 15.5 lbs, what do you all think? his barrium swallow is next week. i'm thinking if it looks clear than i'm going to pass on the scope until 15 mo. if he's still having issues. i'm really encouraged today. hope it continues...

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Wow! That is a lot. Good for him! He's making up for lost time.

Our 1 year old daughter has silent reflux, hypotonia as well as benign external hydrocephalus. We are currently weaning onto whole milk (we'll see if it works) and she is also on Prevacid 15mg per day.
I'm confused-the Snack-6oz. Some Puffs. Is that milk and puffs or 6 oz of puffs? Keira drinks about 24 ounces of Nutram, takes a huge bowl of oatmeal w/ fruit or a veggie in the afternoon and in the morning has like yogurt w/ fruit and some puffs or cheerios/biter biscuits. That's all she'll take. I think he's eating great! I'm glad you're feeling encouraged about this. Sounds like he's tolerating it all well! :) Keira is going to PT next week FINALLY so we'll see how that works out. Keep up the good work there momma! :) He's a cutie pie!

we have the same bowels, lol. is she feeding her self? that is insane!! what a smarty pants.

the ounce info is the formula. he can't tolerate dairy or soy.. not even the lecithin. his reflux acts up a little bit more with the solids but when he enjoys the food i like giving it to him- at this point in time of course. i know, i think it is a lot too. the neighbor kid doesn't eat this much and he's a tank (22 lbs) and is 6 wks younger. i can only hope that he's got his daddy's metabolism and that all the tests are gonna come back negative. if this reflux would just go away!! i hope i'm not overfeedign? nah,, he pukes even when he doesn't eat. second guessing myself, you know.

If we had the same bowels that'd be a WHOLE 'NOTHER FORUM! LOL I love those bowls though-they're great and they have a lid and all. She was refusing to be fed so I gave up and let her play w/ her food and it got alllllll over. I think I've just been giving her oatmeal for so long that she's sick of it. So now we just have a variety of solids and that's it - no more cereal w/ the variety of solids. I just also found a Gerber Graduate thing that has cut up fruit (yes I know I could do that for her but when you're on the go-it's a nice thing to have) too so the options are endless.
