joslyn's 3 month check up
Hey everyone Joslyn had her 3 month check up with her pedi. (we split up her immunizations so she goes every month) she now weighs 11 lbs........ she is 24 inches long... and her head is 25.5 inches around. Her %s are Length = between percentile 50 and 75 Weight = in percentile 10 Head Circumference = in percentile 25 The doc is not concerned about her weight since she has been gaining a pound every month. We just can not keep her weight above 10-20% for her age. (she is 3 months old) I know with her reflux it is great to gain any weight. And I can not compare her to any other kids, esp in DH's family.... they are all HUGE and off the charts. But what do you all think? Jacky

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
how much did she weight @ birth? 10 percentile is on the charts and it is more important that they dont start to fall off...

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Whew! I was thinking - wow, that's a BIG head LOL!! I wouldn't worry too much about the weight - she's gaining and that's the main thing. It took Halley a long time to move up the charts (she was in the 3rd %ile when born and now is in the 75th). Sounds like you're doing great work, mommy!!

sounds great to me! as long as she's gaining, I wouldn't be alarmed :)

Joslyn's weight history...
When joslyn was born she weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces. She went down to 6 pounds while at scottish Rite. At one month she was 8lbs 12 ounces. 2 months she was 9 lbs 15 ounces 3 months she is 11 lbs even. MIL is saying how tiny she is and we are tired of hearing it. Being breast fed does that have anything to do with it? And should i eat more fatty foods? I do not eat real fatty foods... Are we just being our paranoid selves?

I dont' think I would change a thing. She is gaining. If you add fatty things you might cause a tummyache. And actually bfing is probably what is causing her to gain so well because non of your bm is going to waste. So good for you that she is gaining and doing so good with the bfing. And I just checked out your siggy that you are doing it w/o meds. So that is wonderful that she is doing so great. Give yourself a great big pat on the back.
