Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Is he on whole milk? We ended up going to 2% because Halley didn't do well tummy-wise with whole milk (neither does her mommy).

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
I agree with Donnessa. Maggie did it on whole milk too but since the switch to 2% she hasn't spit up any more. I use organic 2% and it has the fatty acids added to it.

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
Whole milk is too hard on my boys too. We do 2%. I would maybe try if your ped thinks it's ok (our ped actually suggested it to me with both my lo's)

How did you do the wean? Maybe go back to a 1/2 and 1/2 mix for a few days and see if it gets better. Otherwise pull the milk and see if it makes a difference. I'm just grasping at straws here but if it isn't hurting him maybe allowing his body some time to adjust would be okay and keep giving it to him?!?!? You misplaced his manual? It must be next to Nolan's. J/K. How's the baby been feeling?

Hi Elaine! Could it possibly be teeth? Rory went months without puking and then she got two molars, two eye teeth and one on the bottom, all within a month, and she started with the puking again. Now that the teeth are through, it's stopped. It could just be one of those things where the extra saliva is causing him to be spitty. I hope it's that and not the milk! Hope you are all doing well otherwise. HUGS!!

Does this ever go away?
Hello
I think it is not normal past a year. But you know you have to get medical advice on that. If you have finanical need, perhaps you can get WIC to help pay for your child's formula. My 18 month Imani is on 3 bottles of Pediasure and I put 4 scoops of duocal in each 8 ounces. The duocal is to help her gain weight, her nurtionist has her on this.
Check with your
doctor first!
