Aubrey's OT is leaving-another sad day
Today was Aubrey's last appt. w/ her OT, whom I LOVE!!! As if I need more on my plate right now...I won't even go into DH possible job change which is still in limbo. Since Aubrey is doing so well (which is great news) they have decided to let her Developmental Therapist (DT) take over-whom I am not found of...she is SO lazy and just sits on the floor the whole hour! I expressed my concern today w/ the OT and she is going to send me some names and numbers for private PT. I think all of my concerns were addressed when the DT did not even show up for the appt-like she was supposed to. She is supposed to come to one therapy a month w/ the OT and she has not done that in the 5months or so Aubrey has been in therapy. The OT uses a lady down the street to watch her kids and told me to call her for a "playdate" if I have questions or concerns about Aubrey. It was so sad to see her go. At least there are great improvements in Aubrey's progress-yes Danie what you saw is so mild to how it used to be!!!! J

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
Our phone conversation was very INTERRUPTED but I remember you saying something about dh's job...I just didn't realize you meant he was thinking of staying and in limbo. But like you said, it's best to let him decide that :)

It sucks that the state provides these services but then does them half-a and people end up having to go to private. You know you're probably not the only one.

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
I know I told you we wnt thru that with Adam's DT...what is it about that? I requested a new DT so they just evaluated him again...turns out, he "tested out" which was good and bad. Hopefully the private one will work out. Did I tell ya'll (yes, I said ya'll, lol) that I cancelled Nate's eval??? I am not going to do it...yet!! He is trying to talk. Sorry, I was rude and barged in on this post, LMAO!!

I'm sorry that the DT is so terrible. Can you file a complaint? Maybe you aren't the only one.
