Update from Mommyto2 (Aubrey's Mom)
First of all-Thank you so much for all of your support, kind words and prayers.

We are doing ok. It has def been a rollercoaster of emotions since this was an unplanned pg. Unplanned, but not unwanted. I had really adjusted to the idea of 3 kids and was feeling complete and very excited. Then BOOM it is gone. This has just been hard to swallow.

Monday night was a hard night physically. I had major abdominal pains, sweating, shaking and dry heaving. I had stopped bleeding late Monday evening, which confused me. I called my doc and was told all of the symptoms I experienced Monday was my uterus contracting and realizing there was no baby. The nurse seems to think I had already miscarried and that the reason I have stopped bleeding so soon is my body is holding on to the pg hormones. I am still waking up nauseated as if I have morning sickness-yuck.

Emotionally, I am still up and down. I opened my bathroom drawer on Tues to see the pg tests staring at me. I lost it then.

Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers, they were def needed! We have no idea what direction we will go now, but we will pray for God to lead us! Jennifer

Hi Jenn, I had a "missed miscarriage" at 10 weeks and carried the baby for two more weeks and had to have a d&c. It sucks, i know, and I still think about the baby and he/she would have been two in a week. Just remember it was nothing you did and could not have been prevented. I am so sorry you are going through this. I still have my positive tests from both babies, I think it is time for me to throw them out! Even though your pg was unplanned, it certainly doesn't make it any easier.

Hi Jennifer I am glad to see you post. My DH and I have lost 2 precious ones. We had gotten preg 3 times in one year. 2006-2007. Our first one was a missed m/c. I was 8 weeks and the baby was only 7. There had been a heart beat since the baby was 7 weeks. I had to have a d&c 3 days later, as I was having labor contractions and severe pain and my body was not letting go on its own. The second one was 5 months later. I was 6 weeks along. I just started bleeding. A week before there was a heartbeat (low but there was one) When I went in for the bleeding, the baby still had a heartbeat but it did not look good. I went back 3 days later and nothing was left. I had let go of the baby the day we had the first appointment. Please know it is okay to see this as a tragic loss. It is okay to be sad and uncontrollable. What helped me was we named our babies. We named them while we were preg and we still call them by their names. Much like we did with Joslyn. She is "Sticky Bean" our first one is "Lima Bean" and our second is "Baby Heart." It helps us to see them as angle babies looking over us and Joslyn. Please rest and know you have people here. I am so very sorry for your loss. Jacky

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Thank you for the update.I have been wondering about you. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I'm not sure why things worked out like this...I guess only God knows. But I know from your posts that you are a strong woman, so you will get through this. Thinking of you.

I just went and picked up my "new drugs" so I am hoping to finally get comfy and relax and sleep tonight! Thanks for being such a strong encouraging group of women. It is nice to know we don't have to go through this alone!

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
I can honestly say I think this is the BEST group of parents I have ever known. I know you will get thru this, you have all of us!! Let me know how the new meds work out.

Jen I know you have heard this so many times but I too am so so sorry for your family during this time. I did not know about this until just now when I signed on. Oh how my heart breaks for you guys right now. I lost Maddie's identical twin sister at 12-16 weeks along. I often wonder sometimes what she would have been like. If honestly she would have been just like Maddie. God help me if she was. LOL Maddie is my major drama queen. I will keep you closely in my prayers and know that I am thinking of you although I may not be able to be on. ((Enourmous Hugs from NC)) ~Carla

I am sorry I forgot to add that no pregnancy is unplanned. The precious baby may not have been planned by you but they were planned by someone else. I was on strict birth control with all but my first and how many do I have? The Lord has his plan and his hands are right there upon your shoulders guiding you now. He will carry you through the entire way. I will also pray that the Lord leads you in the right direction you should seek on another child. He may again lay his hand upon it and decide for you. I am praying for you.
