Picture: This is what happens when you raise a kid on health food and they get ahold of a Coke! Bad mom, that soda is NOT on the reflux diet.
UPDATE: Isaiah is now 12 and off meds! He is doing great, eating again and hopefully will be catching up in the growing department. I am still in the "hoping it sticks" phase, but we're so happy that he's better!
I hate insurance.
Ok, let me rephrase that...I LOVE having insurance and I don't even want the *think* about what would happen if I didn't have it. Thank you God for my insurance. However, I am sooo not happy with them right now! I have spent hours trying to figure out if the allergist we're supposed to see on friday is on our insurance! They make it impossible for anyone to find any information! They have an automated system for the phone that basically leads you around in a big circle and gets you nowhere, and they won't tell you over the phone which dr.'s are on our plan! We can't get the info online without some sort of pass code, which we don't have and dh is the only one who is allowed to do it. I made dozens of calls before we left for our trip and spent half an hour today on the phone and and an hour online again. Finally I managed to get to the right place to find the info, and of course he's not on the plan! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Without insurance, the cost is something between astronomical and incomprehensible. Back to square one! I want to cry. I guess the good news is that I can give Isaiah his Zyrtec again, since we'd stopped it for the appointment. Grrrrrr!

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
I'm so sorry! Did you try calling the allergist's office to see if they are on the plan? Sometimes the dr lists on the insurance websites are pretty outdated.

Our insurance provided us with a book when we first signed up of all the providers. Also, on their automated phone system, there is a way to get them to mail you a list of all the allergists, surgeons, etc. I gave up on our website one too because of the passcode and red tape to try to figure out how to get on there! We have cigna

PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Oh no! no dinosaur allergist? Can you call his office and ask him to recommend someone else??I am so sorry!!
Check with your
