Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site:
I've Been VERY Quiet About This....Jedd Update
But we went 6 full days with NO VOMIT!!!!!!!

It ended tonight...:(

He vomitted at the mall playplace for NO reason at all. I think it was the heat from the car (considering his last meal an hour prior was all milk based)

Oh and did you know that at that mall they make everyone LEAVE when someone vomits. The mall near our house doesn't but at this one they did...STRANGE....

Any way....

He is also says YES YES or YEAH YEAH and running to his highchair whenever I ask him if he wants breakfast, lunch or that is EXTREMEMLY exciting!!!!! I NEVER thought that would happen.....

So here's to another 6 days without vomit, hopefully.....

seamus' mama
Seamus was born 7/6/07, one month early with Silent Reflux. Zantac since 3 weeks old, currently taking herbs and probiotics.
WOW! Way to go Jedd!v What a weird thing about the mall. Is there a vomit alarm that sounds? Are there loudspeakers which announce that everyone has to leave because somebody barfed? That is sooooo weird!

Maggie is now 3 years old and reflux free (knock on wood). I still check in some to see how everybody is doing :) Hugs to all!
That's great! I bet he over-exerted himself. Kids without his history vomit when they get over heated sometime. Hopefully that's what it was. I bet that mall is just over cautious about the whole germ spreading thing. Do you mean they make everyone leave the play place? They probably clean it well. Who knows.

They did, they mad eEVERYONE leave!!!!! I was shoked really. I guess they just wnated to clean it real good. But our mall closer to us jsut does it with the kids around...LOL Just like you would in a school classroom...LOL KWIM??? You don't make all those kids leave.

At least we didnt' get any dirty looks. All though one Mom got me some paper towels form the bathroom adn I tlaked to her and ezplain about his severe reflux So I *think* the others heard so they understood...LOL

Also a couple of kids were near by and asked if he was sick and I very simply said NO seeties, he has some belly problems that he was born with so this happens sometimes to him. He not sick sick so you can't catch it...

seamu's Mom

ROFLOL about the ludspeaker thing...The mall would nover had known had I not sent DH to got ellthe security shack...LOL I at least wanted them to know so they coudl clean it. I dind't think they woudl make everyone leave. If I had known that I would have cleaned it with my wipes and called it a day!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Yeah for no vomit!!! I agree with the others - it was probably the heat plus the good time that caused today's episode. I think it's great that they made everyone leave while they cleaned. Sure hope the same thing happens when there's a poop alarm! :-)

I am so excited he says YES when going to his high chair!!!!! We have Chick fil a here and if a kid vomits they make everyone leave while they sanitize. I like the idea honestly.

6 days, that's great! We are going on 10 days i think right now (can't wait until it's long enough I stop counting!) Comforting to know that the mall actually cares abut spreading germs. Whether it is "sick" vomit or not, puke is considered a "blood-borne pathogen"....I learned that at CPR class yesterday :)

Tracey, mom to Katie diagnosed with GERD at 3 week.
Yea! Way to go Jedd!! I agree that heat + exertion= vomit. It was kinda the same for my husband and I one night. Walked to get pizza, ate it there, walked home in the heat and both had a belly ache when we got home. Congratulations on 6 whole days!!!!!! Did they use hazmat suits and yellow tape while they cleaned?? LOL

No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
That's great that he is taking an interest in food and not vomiting!!

In my school we actually DO clear the room while the custodian sanitizes... but I know what your saying, why draw even more attention to an already embarrassing situation!

He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
That's great news - especially about the excitement about food! I just read that alot of kids with food issues drastically improve by age maybe Jedd is ahead of the curve? How's the vomiting been going since?

Oh Jessica, that is FABULOUS....6 whole days. I can imagine how glorious it must have been. I remember the first time Rory went 3 days without puke, we were so excited!!! It's devastating when the break the run, but you can still bask in the memory. I really hope this is the start of something for Jedd!!! It was gradual with Rory. I can't imagine after 20 some months of puking how good you must feel. I bet he takes longer and longer puke free spurts, AND if he is looking forward to mealtime, he probably won't gag and vomit as much because he WANTS it. YAY YAY YAY!!! He'll probably always be a bit tummy sensitive and dole out a suprise puke here and there, especially if he's excited and playing, but you can handle that, huh? The mealtime pukes are probably the hardest to deal with...if he can overcome that....oh boy oh boy, how exciting Jess!!!!
Check with your
doctor first!
