Melissa (Sebastians Mommy)
You may wnat to check out th is article. We were talking on P2p about something called Viscreal Hyperaglesia. It's bsically severe gut pain. It is noted in kids that are in alot of pain pretty much all this time and most of them are said to have their GI tract all messed up like they said Sebastian's was....anyways hope this helps some. Alot of Dr. don't think about it because it's pretty rare. Most parents who treat their child for this show a great imporvement in thier children.

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
Well, I can tell you why MY doctors don't think of it - BECAUSE THEY DON'T THINK OF US AT ALL! I was a promised on Tuesday a call back from the GI about a possible med change as well as a more tohorugh explanation of his results and...NOTHING. I left voicemails every day to no avail. Now Sebastian will eat no solids at ALL (except for a bite of watermelon yesterday...he looked pissed, like I tricked him). I suppose the GI will tell me it is normal because he is a moose.

That out of the way, God, I hope it isn't this! I kind of don't think so because when his reflux isn't going haywire, he is a VERY happy child. It's just that's a rarity these days! Feel free to suggest away, BTW. Thanks, Jessica!

That has got to be the most hardest t hing to deal with DR who don't call back. At one point I called them about 3 times per day while Jedd was screaming in thebackground. When the nurse said I can't hear you!!! I said that is how he is we will have to DEAL WITH IT!!!!! It got my pint across!!!

I hope you get the results soon. Is the dr. back in town yet and still not calling you????
Check with your
doctor first!
