it's time
elimination diet time... :( i am so sad over this i really thought Audrey was not going to be MSPI or have the same breast milk problems emi had. This morning i woke up and she had the same tell-tale rash emi had, all over her face. she puked all over me an hour later too. even with the rash and puking i am not totally convinced she has MSPI, am i in denial? i just have this weird instinct feeling that it's something else... ugh i guess i should go steam clean the couch while the girls are asleep..

oh no, that plain stinks!! Well, if you don't feel it's mspi, I would at least try the elimination diet and see if it helps. Plus, it'll be great for losing any pregger weight you might have. I wish I would have breastfed longer and if it's something you want to do, I'd keep at it a bit longer. Babies are rashy and pukey, even those without mspi or reflux....but given Emi's history, I can see why you'd be leary. Is she acting in pain at all? Do you have any hunches as to what else it might be? Just reflux, maybe? Oh honey, I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of these questions again. Ignorance truly is bliss, and with all the experience you have with these issues, it must really SUCK. I would hang in there, start the elimination diet, and see how she does.

Sorta off topic, but can I ask what you use to steam clean your couch with? I have beige microfiber and Rory has it near ruined. I refuse to pay someone to clean it when she'll just wipe her dirty, drooly, cheezie covered mouth on it again. Good luck, and enjoy your little bundles. HUGS.

i think we have the same kind of couch lol i have a bissell power steam cleaner with power brush we use the bissell detergent that comes with it. i got it at walmart for like 120$ totally worth it IMO- it does a fabulous job. i do spot clean ups with dish soap and water but mostly like you i am to tired of cleaning up after my dirty cheezie girl as well!

either chris or i will do it about once a month or until we can't stand how dirty the couch looks, after we do it we find out how easy it was and how great it looks and wonder why we didn't do it sooner- then emily jumps on the couch and crunches some crackers all over it or spills some crystal light and we remember why LOL

Seamus was born 7/6/07, one month early with Silent Reflux. Zantac since 3 weeks old, currently taking herbs and probiotics.
I don't think that you are in denial..You have been through a lot and you are educated about so many little infant quirks..The elimination diet can be challenging but at least you can rule out possible trigger foods. When I look back, wish that i did it earlier...Your little girl is beautiful! I am really happy for you- Please give her a big smooch from me!
