OT-esurance for purchasing health insurance
Knowing my husband will be laid off in December, I have been doing a little research on the internet because we will be purchasing private health insurance on our own :( Anyone have any experience with esurance or other internet purchased health insurance?

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jedd
Not sure about those sites but can you afford to go on Cobra???? Here in VA (not sure about other states) the employer is required to offer cobra and follow cobra laws.

Basically you take over th epayments for the insurance premiums for x amount of years. Now in VA if you are even one day late on payment to the old boss they can cancel you right away.

The insurance policy is still carried by the old boos but the former worker pays them each month for the premiums. That's how cobra works here.

Tracey, mom to Katie diagnosed with GERD at 3 week.
I agree with Jedd's mommy; if you can afford COBRA go for it because you don't change coverage at all but it is a little more expensive for that fact.

Our COBRA costs over $1200 a month so we will NOT be going that route!!!!
Check with your
doctor first!
