Jennifer - 1st time mom. Lauren (6/1/07) diagnosed 9/07 with GER at 3 1/2 months. Prevacid 7.5 mg in the am. Currently drinking whole milk and eating great!!
No longer aspirating! Yippee!
Picture: Why would Lauren play with the hundreds of dollars worth of toys scattered in my living room?!?! When she could play in a box! Estimated move date: Oct. 3rd!
normal poop?
I feel silly even asking this question, but I truly have no standard for what "normal" is so I seem to worry about everything! And leave it to me to have ANOTHER question about poop -- sorry! :)

Since we switched to whole milk Lauren has gone from needing medicine to help her poop once a day or once every two days to 3-4 poops A DAY, with no medicine!!!!! Today she had pooped 3 times before noon!!! They are all different consistencies too. Do "normal" babies poop this much? We are using a ton of diapers and I feel like all I do is smell/clean poop!!! I guess maybe I was just spoiled by the lack of poo...

Another thought, with the whole milk her appetite has improved greatly :) and she's eating much, much more...could it be something in, something out???

Jessica, Mommy to Jedd, severe reflux, severe food and oral aversions, Finally G tube free!!! VSD repair 4-24-07 (open heart surgery), hypospadias, repaired 3 times and Ear tubes Visit Jedd at his CB site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jedd
Jedd's poos just changed colors when he went to whole cow's milk. It became brown....LOL Like, well, normal poos...HEHEHEHEHEH I can't help with the frequency because we also cut the tube recently so his poos are cahnging as I type....he used to go much more than he does now, so I am still getting used to his new pooing schedule...LOL

I would t hink that maybe the hunger thing is linked to the pooing. She may "feel" better since it is all coming out so she is more willing to eat KWIM?????

Jedd has always had aobut 3 poos a day before tube weaning. Now I get at least 2 sometimes 3. It all depends. So I think that's about right.

Donnessa, mom to Halley born 3/10/07
Reflux (mostly) resolved at 14 months
and Addison born 8/17/09. Currently exclusively bf and on 7.5mg Prevacid
Oh my gosh, yes, we have seen a big increase in poop frequency since Halley went on milk. She used to go 1x per day (always in the morning) and now we deal with 3-4 poopy diapers a day. The consistency varied a lot at first, but now is pretty much the same. Glad to hear that she's eating better - that's awesome!

Mom (Danie) to Adam (9-4-03) & Nate (3-7-07) Nate was diagnosed with silent AR at 2 months old. He was on neocate, prevacid 30mg per day and couldn't start solids till he was almost 8 months old. He started cow's milk at 14 months and is currently off all meds!! So far so good :) PIC: Disney trip 2008. Nate didn't know Piglet was there, he didn't like the characters too much.
LOL!! Yes...Nate goes more now that he is on milk. He went from about 1 a day (or every 2 days) to about 3-4 a day. We are finally down to about 2 a day. The color and consistency is different all the time really...he too is eating much more variety which I think leads to the "rainbow" color poop, lol. Hey...is she walking yet? I can't remember if she is. I know we keep meaning to get together but we really need to try...they have both grown so much. They could really play together this time :)

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! She's a poop machine lately, I didn't know how good I had it with one poop a day before...

Danie, we do need to get together. What time is Nate napping these days? Lauren's down to 1 nap from 12ish - 2ish. Not enough, but it's the way she is and she's in bed no later than 7. It would be great to get the kids together and let them actually play this time ;) You guys could come here...but is Adam allergic to dogs?

Lauren is walking. She starting taking steps here and there right on her birthday, but she has really taken off in the past few days. Like Nate first walked to Adam, Lauren walks to the dog all the time! LOL! Dh and I know where we rank!!!
