Hoping for a better night, when will the teething end!?!Last night was awful; no that is an understatement. Cooper had an average day yesterday, didn't nap a whole lot, but close to normal. He always takes an early evening nap at around 5. Yesterday he was so tired and he fought and fought. I finally gave him some tylenol and he relaxed and fell asleep around 6ish. He woke about 7 and I nursed him and he went back to sleep, he was out. I laid him in our bed where we were resting and fixed supper and such. Well at 9 (his usual bed time) he was still sound asleep, so I figured he was just over tired and was out for the night. At about 10:30, he woke up and nursed and I got him ready for bed and put him in his bed. He slept there until 1:30, which is normal for him. When I got him to nurse, he was so restless, turning his head a wiggling all over the place. He finally slept again and after all it took to get him asleep, I left him on me. At 3ish, he woke agian and the battle began. By 5 I got up and walked around with him, tryed rocking, putting him in his crib w/ his moble and a slew of other things. Nothing would work. Finally at 6 he fell asleep. I prayed that he would sleep for 2 more hours. I finally fell back asleep and then he woke up again. This time he was ready to get up for the day. I looked at the clock, 6:30! Are you kidding me, only 30mins! Anyway, it was a crazy night and he was so cranky this morning. I am praying tonight is better. I don't know what his deal is. He is refluxing more for sure. I guess it is just the teeth. He went down well tonight. I better go get in bed before he wakes up to nurse. This is dh's last night shift, woohoo!!! I can't wait to get my help back.

Seamus was born 7/6/07, one month early with Silent Reflux. Zantac since 3 weeks old, currently taking herbs and probiotics.
|I'm sorry you had such a bad night..Ughh, hopefully you are resting now. I have had a really crappy 24 hours so I am on your team! How is the elimination diet going? Could you have eaten something that is giving him trapped gas or do you definitely think its teething? I totally know how you are felling. It is crazy going to bed knowing that you will just wake up soon. I hope tonight is better. I'll wish you well as I nurse over and over again !|

|I am so sorry you had a bad night. Teething stinks! It seems to just be worse on our kiddos with reflux as they tend to reflux more with teething times. Sigh! Hugs to you today and I hope you get a little rest later on. |

Melissa - Mommy to Sebastian, born 9/28/07 @ 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.75 in. At docs at 12 months: 27 pounds and 32 in! Good grief! GERD - currently on Prevacid suspension (liquid equivalent of 45 mg a day). Allergic to dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, all treenuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, peas, sesame, bananas, barley, coconut, dust, dust mite, dog, cat, latex. Seasonal allergies. Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS). Neocate only - no solids - until further notice (drinks and loves water, too). Loves his doggie, our rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound, Louise, even though he is allergic to her. Louise will make your doctor a homemade pie if you would like her to. PHOTO: We couldn't do a cake on Sebastian's birthday, but that didn't stop him from tossing around the contents of a big bowl of popcorn! He now tries to eat it when we play with popcorn, so no more of that game.... :(
|Ugh. That sucks! I'm sorry. He might be fighting to drop his early evening nap. That is EXACTLY what Sebastian did at that age. I had to move his bedtime up to 6 pm. (still goes down at this time if he takes his afternoon nap early and is up before 2). I should warn you, though, that his wake-up time is probably going ot get progressively earlier. We went from 9, to 8, to 7....and now we FIGHT for 6 a.m. I've read that 6-7 wake-up time is pretty typical for most kids.|

Coyle Eagan. One Year Old. Doing well on Cow's Milk flavored with juice :) Drinking two bottles of Go&Grow daily. Eating solids better but still have rough days. No More Silent Reflux-that I can hear anyway.. but puking again. Zantac 2ML 2X daily.
|does sound like he's ready to drop that last nap. from then until 12 p.m. it is going to be a lot of adjustments to find the correct bed time for your little guy. for a long time we were on a 7 p bedtime w/ 6 am wake up. now, i'm shooting for keeping a 8 p bedtime with a 7 a wake up.. 6-7 am is normal @ that age. in fact, for a lot of kids bedtime does not dictate wake time. if you are lucky some kids will sleep 12 hours no matter when they go to sleep but others just cant...||Check with your
