My DH is going to send me to the insane house.....That is what Michael says! I have been unpacking today when I could. The babies are so fussy. Anyway I finally got them down at a little to 12 and I went back to the living room and told Michael to help me rearrange the living room tonight. He thought I was crazy. He said only people with no mind does this at midnight. When else am I suppose to do it. I have 3 little ones up during the day and you can't rearrange with them in there. Anyway I wanted it done tonight so I can 1. put together Braddys jumparoo for them and 2. I need to start unpacking my bedroom tomorrow when I can. Michael is on vacation until Mon so he needs to help. Do you agree. Anyway I won and now its 240 am but my living room is rearranged the way I want. LOL
For the Updates:
Bradden-I took Bradden in on Tuesday. He has lost another 1.5 lbs which puts him at 18 lbs. 1 oz. This lose is in 9 days I think. Our pedi said this is an age for food strike. Given the hand, foot, & mouth he had a mth ago, then the virus for numerous days, (he still has diarrhea), his reflux flare, and cutting his 2 yr molars he wants to watch and do wkly weight checks for a month. If there is not an improvement then we are going back to Wake Forest for a tube. Please Please Please pray hard that this is not the route we have to go. He is drinking a little more. He is not drinking formula though. I am adding scoops of formula to his ice cream. I have got him to eat it twice now. As for food other than the ice cream he ate some mashed potatoes tonight. He will just pick at his food not eating it and finally hand it to you jabbering. I just keep offering constantly to try and get things in him. I hope that each day I can update that he has ate more. I will keep you posted... He is getting ready to start speech therapy at the childrens clinic. I am optimistic that he will talk quickly. Braddy catches on easy so I hope this is to his advantage.
Prestyn and Avary-First off today I got a call from the pedi saying the monthly download for their monitors were negative. That is such great news b/c they had no episodes but its bad news for me. With episodes in a month they the company wants him to discharge them. He talked with me. He assured me that the risk of sids is non existant after 6 mths I feel OK with the discharge. I am honestly just so paranoid of SIDS especially with them both having numerous episodes since birth. It too could be that their reflux was not under control and now that it is with the thickened formula and occasional Mylanta the alarms are not happening. Honestly I so wish that if a child has reflux it could be as mild as theirs instead of having to be so painful and heartbreaking that it is. I dont know but just pray that the Lord gives me peace with this. I hope I made the right decision with the pedi. I may be up for a couple of nights watching them but thats OK.... Avary is cutting his second tooth. He is not seem to have any problems with teething so far. Prestyn will probably give me a run for my money. They are both sick right now. Avary woke up with a 102 fever this morning. Prestyn started his fever of 102.3 this afternoon. If one is sick both are. They still sleep facing each other or on their backs or bellies holding hands. They have a nasty cough, runny nose, and really watery eyes. They always eat 4 if not 5 bottles a day. Today Avary has had 3 and he only drank a couple of ozs each time. Prestyn ate fine until this evening then ate only a little bit for the night time bottle. I talked to Melanie ( a friend of mine that nurses at the pedis office) this evening. If the fever is still there in the morning then she is bringing them in. Right now it is there and its not time for tylenol until 5 am.
Prestyn is getting up on his hands and knees now rocking. Avary still justs rolls. He is always a day or 2 behind what Prestyn does. Boy isnt my fun getting ready to start... I can't block them in the LR b/c I cant put a gate up going into the kitchen. I guess I will be running my legs of
My last son.....Jeremiah- Today when Michael brought him in from daycare he reached his little arms out to me. I just wish his ignorant mother could see what she is missing. The DSS worker came yesterday to visit with Mom. They are taking his mother to court concerning her cooperation. If she is not going to cooperate and do the classes then they are going to seek permanent placement of him. They thankfully will allow my parents to adopt him if they want too which they will. Michael and I do help them as much as possible since they are in their 50's. I always watch him while she cooks since she cooks for us too. He loves to play with the babies and he is rotten too.
Mom took him to the OT eval Mon. Yes he does have a oral aversion and a severe gag reflex. She was shown exercises to do at home and they are starting OT with him. He will go once a week until he no longer need it. The neuro dr says his soft spot is closed up on top. They are doind an MRI to see if it is under the skin also. If it is then they will have to do major surgery on his skull. I honestly feel like it is closed. His forehead is starting to cone out just down the center. His head was round but now it is starting to be oval instead. Pray for him please. I know what the surgery is. My step nephew and my dads nephew's son both had it. He will have to learn everything over again. He has to sleep in a car seat upright for 2 mths. It is so hard on them. I dont want fat baby to go through that. I did tell his mother all of this and her statement was "There is nothing wrong with them!" Is she so dumb that she thinks a 7.5 mo old should not be eating food. Duh there is nothing wrong with him and he should be eating baby food and start to eat snacks. He has 8 teeth....
I am going to post some pics on another post. Sorry this is soooo long... I just hadn't had time to update this week. The older 3 is great. They are so brown from the sun. They are in the pool daily here and I get stuck inside the house with the babies while they are out with Mom. My parent's bought them a commercial 4 ft x 18 ft pool. None of them knew how to swim this year but all 3 have already learned and are doing great. Bradden is even getting brave and letting go of us. He is in his floaty thing and he will float around. The only bad thing is that Maddie and Bradlee have both already got an ear infection. Their ears are draining and the drops wont clear the tube so now they are on an oral. The ENT is making them both a set of ear plugs. Hopefully this will stop them.
I will be back on tomorrow to check in. Thank you Danie and Melissa for asking about them. I am thinking and praying for all of you.
