Behaviour side-effects?
I often wonder how much effect reflux/meds. have on Kodys behaviour. He changed from Zantac to Zoton about 6 weeks ago andover the last few weeks has been having bouts of anger/hysteria, the outbursts are (usually) brief but very intense, it breaks my heart b/c u can talk to him and see him trying really hard to get calm but just being beside himself. Do you think it could be related to the meds, or perhaps its just the 4/5yr testosterone boost. I find it hard sometimes to know what is or isn't linked to reflux, there may be a fine line between concern and paranoia. Does anyone have any experience/ advice?

Side effects
I see the same type of side effects in my son while on Nexium, we are currently trying a reduced dose. I'm now splitting his 20mg capsule to 1/2 in morning and 1/2 at night to see if it helps. He was on 20mg morning and night before which is an adult dose for a 5yr old 42lb. boy! I think too much could be toxic. Debbie

Thanks Debbie, good to know it's not all in my mind. I spoke to GP about it, he agreed it was related to such a high dose of Zoton - 30mg sachet/day. We go back to Ped on 20th dec. so I'll see what he suggets. I hope splitting your boys dose up helps. I worry about the long term effect of such high doses too, we are looking at an op. early 2008 so hopefully won't need meds after that.
