reglan side effects
has anyone noticed a fever when starting on reglan? just not sure weather it's that or teething or sickness. he carried a low grade fever for 7 days and it finally broke. no teeth yet. glad to see it's gone, but it just baffles me. he's 5 months so pretty much everything baffles me with him:)

something from the reflux
My baby was on Zantac and Reglan for reflux from about 2months old. She had her first ear infection at 2mos old. She was refluxing and it was shooting into her sinuses and draining into her ears causing ear infections. We had about 8 earinfections before she was 2 years old and she was NOT in daycare. I have learned a lot about reflux and seems like each time my child (now 5 ) is sick I learn something more about it. I'd have him checked by Dr- better safe than sorry.

I have heard of babies being very fussy, irritable, and unable to sleep, have a loss of appetite, and have rapid eye movement on Reglan. I have not heard it causing fevers. I have also heard a few people say (and I've also noticed in my own son who is now 2yrs old) that reflux is much worse when they have fevers. I think the ear infection theorgy is a good one.

reglan side effects
My 5 mos. old has been on reglan for three days and has been running a low-grade fever. The ear infection had crossed my mind, even though he has not been displaying signs of pain in the ear area - I heard it could be asymptomatic, though. Now I'm thinking that it could be the reglan? As for reglan making him very fussy, irritable, and unable to sleep, I wouldn't know the difference - that's standard!

My son went on reglan at 7 and has been on it 5 years. He's never experienced any side effects luckily. But he was not a baby either.

My daughter used to get a lot of ear infections, but never showed any symptoms. I think our reflux kids get so used to pain, that an ear infection just doesn't really compete with the reflux pain. She would get a fever that lasted days, and we'd finally take her in, and they would tell us she had a raging double ear infection. We always felt like such bad parents, but she was ALWAYS fussy, crying, screaming - we never knew when something was wrong besides the reflux.

reflux and ear infections
My daughter is 3 and ear infections are a constant concern. i agree that most of the reflux kids dont show signs of the ear infection til the fever hits. It acid coming up cause pressure to build and backup into the ear causing the ear infection. So if you can get the acid uncontroll the ear infections tend to disappear for a while. Even when my daughter (3 yrs. old ) shows no signs of acid reflux (i.e. she has be on Zantac and Reglan since she was 8 months old) she still gets ear infections. She also has severe asthma. So we dont know she has ear infections til the asthma attack start and in the ER they tell us about her ears
